After Mulan and the end of the 90s Disney entered a financial bottom close to when they almost went bankrupt when Walt died. Disney Simply couldn't compete with this new CGI animation that other studios were churning out with great success. Even the money made from the parks suffered terribly after 9.11. Oddly this is when they officially launched the Disney princess line (2000) and they used franchises like these to help stay afloat. I was born in 2000 so I grew up in the prime of Disney marketing the Disney Princess line. I loved them all but was sad they had never made any new ones like my mom got to experience. Well in 09 it all changed. Disney released The Princess and the Frog and as of now it is the last animated film they made using 2d animation. The film was a moderate success and has done decent over time. Personally I love Tiana as a character I just don't care for the film too much. Tiana is hugely responsible for helping save Disney much like Ariel is. Along with being the most modern princess in her time setting (1920s) she started the new wave of princess known as the "modern" princess. These would focus more on the girls dreams and less on love if not at all. lets celebrate Tiana by creating an ATC inspired by her film! it doesn't have to be Tiana herself it can be anything from the movie. Think music, friends, food, etc. Princess come from all different cultures and backgrounds so we accept all skill levels and mediums.https://www.wikihow.com/Make-Artist-Trading-Cards here is a link for making ATCs if you need.
