Description:

I know I'm probably the last person in swapland to see and fall in love with glue books, but I'm ready to try something different for a change. Are you with me? Let's use a firm but flexible background...no cardboard, but maybe a manila file folder?...and cut it to 4x6 inches. Cover the entire front with cut and glued images, using other forms of flat items such as doilies, lace, and ribbon. Glue them down. No embellishments other than the glued-down images. And please feature the happiest color, which is ORANGE! As you will see from the swap graphic, orange can be featured without taking over the entire design. Use any other colors you think will add to the overall design, as long as orange is prominently featured. Cover the back with pretty paper that coordinates with your design. Write your swap information on the back, and you've made a glue book page! I am aiming for something that can be mailed in a business size (#10) envelope without being folded.

I am honestly intrigued by this swap. I have never done a glue book/page before, but I have seen some amazing ones done in a Facebook group that I belong to. I have done my fair share of magazine collage envelopes though, which sounds like something pretty similar.

Please explain the difference between a glue page and a collage page for us to read. Thank you.

A glue book page is, essentially, a collage page!

So you are only using glued images and no embellishments correct?

Bananers 12/22/2019 #

Just to make sure that I get this right. :)

The instructions say only glued images for embellishments, but it also says "doilies, lace, and ribbons". Obviously some doilies can be made out of paper, but the other two generally aren't. So, is it ok to use lace and ribbons?

I do not know why in the world that posted twice. Sorry.

Hi all! Donetta is on vacation at her daughter's home in Idaho--that's probably why she hasn't answered ;+) I think the idea is that everything is flat and can be glued--no dimensional elements--and mostly paper.
