Description:

Preptober is about to start and aren't we all very excited to get started? But to be honest, it usually takes me about 30 pages at least to really get to know my characters and not have them act out of character. That is the case if I'm too vague in preparation. So why not concentrate on this part a little with a swap?

So for this swap you are required to prepare and send a character sketch. This could be the lead, the antagonist, or maybe that one person that appears not often enough to be more than a cliché type of character. As this swap is not only intended to give you joy in swapping but also as a preparation and help for your writing in November, make sure you choose the one character that is not already well-thought-out, the one you're still not sure about, the one with whom you don't know what you want to do.

Requirements:
- Give your partner a short synopsis of your novel idea, so that they can follow your thoughts on the chosen character
- Try and be specific and detailed; I won't set a minimum, but, hey, you want to write 50.000 words in November, why not write some for this swap, too?
- Include outward appearance, character traits, idiosyncrasies, phraseology, why they are/have to be in your story, role development, etc. (just everything you know (and till then don't know) about your chosen character
Optional:
- If you are an artsy person, you can also add a drawing of what they look like, but it's not required
- add anything you can think of

This is meant to be a letter swap, no extras, nothing else needed, just a plain letter about your character. If you still choose to send extras, that's up to you.

When receiving and rating you might want to send your partner your thoughts and ideas, so that they may or may not include them in their novel. But this is optional too.
Please rate a 5 if you receive a letter with a detailed character sketch, hearts are up to you.

Important: If you have chosen a character/write a novel with potentially offensive content, please make sure not to make your description too pictorial/vivid and even better: write your partner a message before starting the swap, so that they can ask you to choose a different character for this swap.

EDIT:
I know I am much more creative when handwriting and my mind is blank when I'm looking at a screen, but this might be different for you, so it's okay to either handwrite or type the letter.
