The Whimsies' Mini Grimoires

Welcome to our small group's first swap, The Whimsies' Mini Grimoires!

We each start with an A5 notebook/journal dedicated to a particular subject - Divination Grimoire, and Magic Grimoire, Spirit Grimoire - and we share information related to something that falls under that topic (e.g. runes, candle magic, deities, embroidery knot magic). We send our notebooks on to our partners, and our partners learn from us. Then, with the next swap, they add to that particular notebook, and send it on again, and so on.

More on the notebooks:

• Divination Grimoire - information on tarot, runes, astrology, palmistry, scrying, tasseography, bibliomancy, etc.
• Magic Grimoire - information on different types of magic, and spells.
• Spirit Grimoire - information on deities, spirits, spirit guides, ancestors, and our beliefs in general.

These Grimoire swaps work both when we don’t have a lot of time, as we can just write in them, and when we have more time, and can create beautiful pages.

Through this swap, we continually share with and learn from each other, and fill up the notebooks together.

I won’t create a new swap until all Grimoires have been received from the previous swap, and there will always be three weeks to complete the swap.

This swap requires every one of us to take part in each of these Grimoire swaps, so the Grimoires continue get passed on, rather than kept by one person indefinitely.

If for whatever reason, you need an extension, or life happens in a big way, and you’re not in a place to be able add something to the Grimoire in your possession, no worries. Just let me know, and we’ll figure out a work around - even if it’s simply sending the Grimoire on without adding to it. But the aim is to keep the Grimoires moving and continually added to.

Requirements

• Acquire a sturdy A5 notebook/journal that will cope with being posted over and over. It can be a general notebook, or you can try to find one with a cover that fits it's particular subject (we will discuss separately who will start which Grimoire.). It doesn’t have to be very expensive, but I suggest hardback, as it’ll probably last longer and not get quite as raggedy over time.
• Create a cover page at the very beginning, so we know which Grimoire is which.
• Write the first entry, sharing what you know or have just learnt on a topic that falls under that Grimoire's subject. Date your entry, and include your name, so as we look back over the Grimoires, we know who wrote what.
• Include a note with the title of this swap and your swapbot username.
• You have 3 weeks to complete your entry and mail your Grimoire.
• Please check if your partner is in the broom closet before sending anything that's witchy on the outside. You can check that by clicking on the member list on our Discord server and then look for your partner's name. After clicking it, their info and roles will pop up.
• Rating: Please make sure to promptly rate your partner a 5 if their swap meets the requirements as stated above. You must leave a note with your rating! No blank ratings! If there are any problems, please reach out to your partner before rating a 3 or even 1. You can, of course, give hearts to your discretion.
• Please let me know when you have received the Grimoire from your partner so I can gauge when it’s ok to create the next swap.
