Description:

In my other group, For the Love of Letters, I am hosting a swap for letters in a book. That made me think of how much I love journals in books, or fictional journals written as books. I thought it might be a good swap for our group here. :)

This swap is International and you will have 1 partner. If you'd like an email version, please just ask. :)

For this swap, you will tell your partner about a book you have read and enjoyed - or hated! - that either contains journal entries as part of the story - OR - is written as a journal to tell the story. Witch Child by Celia Rees comes to mind when I think of this sort of book. Also the Dear America line of books and their related series. If you aren't sure what I'm referring to as a journal as a book, check out those links.

You don't have to find a book that fits this description to read, but can write about something you have already read and remember. You can find a book that fits the description, though, and read it before the swap sign up ends. :)
In a letter or note card (no postcards for this one, sorry) tell your partner the title and author of the book and what you thought of it. If you remember why you read it - maybe something for the time period? - you can certainly share that. :)

And, if you have any suggestions for books like this, please feel free to list the titles and authors below. I do love books like this. :)

And, if you are a fan of paranormal things, there is always John Winchester's Journal which is based on the early seasons of the Supernatural TV show. ;)

Not sure if this link will work, but THIS LINK is from Good Reads, with lists and suggestions for diaries/journals in fiction and history. Maybe it will give you some ideas. :)
