Description:

Welcome MM&L members to the first non-ATC group swap! That's right, we're no longer just an ATC group! @HausOfImps and I decided to widen the group's focus to allow for all kinds and types of swaps that are relevant to the group's overall theme.

For this type 2 letter writing swap we will all write 1 letter to 1 partner sharing a paranormal or supernatural experience we've had!

If you've had any kind of paranormal or supernatural experience (think ghosts, aliens, entities or spirits, demons, hauntings, astral projection/out of body experiences, psychic phenomena, glitch-in-the-matrix or other strange happenings etc) and can write a minimum of one full page about it - please consider joining in this fun swap!

Rules:

  • Write a 1 page letter (this is the minimum, but you can absolutely write more than that!) to 1 partner about a paranormal/supernatural experience you've had. You are not limited to the experiences I listed above those are just some examples.

  • Please use pretty or interesting paper/stationery to write your letters on or otherwise jazz up the paper with stickers, washi tape, drawings etc. You may type the letter if you prefer, but please also make your typed letter fun to look at! If the paper you choose to write on is small, please write several pages. Use your best judgement on this, but feel free to ask me for clarification!

  • Similarly, send the letter in a decorated envelope. It doesn't have to be super elaborate, but please make it fun!

  • Do not intentionally write large & spaced out to fill up a page! If you don't have a detailed experience to share, you may write about more than one to meet the minimum page requirement, but again if you don't have enough details to your story to write more than a few sentences about it this may not be the swap for you.

  • Extras not required! You may send them if you wish, but please keep it flat & try to stay under an ounce using one forever stamp (or equivalent postage.) If you're worried about postage due or like to use extra stamps as decoration that's completely fine, I mainly mention to keep it flat and cheap on postage so everyone understands extras or tuck-ins are not expected for the swap.

  • Send on time by the deadline! You have 2 full weeks to write and send this letter. Message your partner AND myself if you will be late. Communication ahead of time is very appreciated and I will do my best to work with you. If you are flaked on (flakers will be banned from the group!) I will absolutely angel this swap provided you try to communicate and appropriately rate your partner.

  • Please rate promptly once you receive your letter - a 5 if the swap met all of the rules and heart if you love it! Don't down-rate your partner without contacting me about the issue first.

Questions or concerns should be sent to me in a message as I may not see any comments left on the swap in a timely manner!

I hope you will participate in our first non-ATC group swap! Be on the lookout for more varied kinds of swaps (remaining true to our theme of all things mythology, folklore, paranormal, & the esoteric of course) posted in the future. Remember, if you have ideas of your own please feel free to suggest them on the forum or by messaging either founder, and if you'd like to host them yourself let us know you'd like to be a group officer! ~ Happy swapping!
