WIYM: revised SSS-NOV ‘22 (USA+) Please read the entire swap description before agreeing to participate, as the requirements were changed in July. Thank you. The Triple-S swap stands for “Send Something Special!”The idea behind this swap is to pick something special to share with our partner! We’ll have the month to choose that special something, but we don’t have to use this entire time. If something strikes us as being a special something to send sooner, we certainly can do so. PLEASE NOTE, this longer send-by date doesn’t mean we should procrastinate all month, then send something “average/basic” and rushed. That sends the very opposite message to our partners. For this swap, we will observe the Oxford definitions of special when selecting what to send our partner. SPE·CIAL /ˈspeSHəl/ adjective meaning "better, greater, or otherwise different from what is usual." or noun meaning “ a thing that is designed or organized for a particular [person], occasion or purpose.” Send something that your partner will appreciate. Special Swap Requirements:
However, flat items sent in an envelope are acceptable as long as the enclosure(s) meet swap requirements as being "special" to your partner.😉 According to Swap-bot definitions, "type 2" flat mail = postcards, letters, and mail swaps with little, to no, craft component. While "type 3" crafts & packages = time-intensive crafts, and any swaps sent in packages. Most swaps will fall in this category. This is because SSS swaps are time-intensive and thoughtful, regarding our partner as valuable, regardless of if the thing being sent was handmade or not. This is NOT a “destash” swap. Certain “gently-used” items are allowed. For example, stationery letter sets, journaling cards, or blank notecards from an opened package may certainly be shared, as long as they meet swap requirements for being something special to your partner. In other words, pick a profile-based something to share! Think of your partner’s profile as an inspiration for ideas.Let’s send something to help our partner feel special and thought about! 😉 Other than that, this swap is limited by only your imagination, time, and resources. 🤗These are intended to be stress-less swaps!😉 We’re simply sending some happy vía 🐌snail 💌mail! I really want participants to feel as though they are being thought about, individually. We don't have to buy stuff for these swaps. However, you’re welcome to purchase something from their wishlist if you’d like to. These are not the same as a wish-list swap, but you can certainly use your partner's wish list for inspiration. Again, the idea behind these swaps is sending something that helps our partner feel like you "saw" a piece of them after reading their profile, then picking a little something to mail them that reminded you of what you saw.
Please communicate with me if you have ANY questions, comments, or concerns.I'm happy to help and hope that you'll give me the chance to do so, should the need arise. I also try to be very understanding of others' life circumstances, so if you join this swap and life throws you a curve ball, please message me. I will do what I can! Thank you! |
