For this swap, it's on your own honour. Thank 5 people for something they are doing right. You have ONE partner on LSRUS to message with who you thanked. You can e-mail but sending a message through SB is easiest. List the 5 people you thanked and the swap name. This post is marked International because your SB partner can be anywhere in the world and it's a digital message. You decide who to send physical mail to, if anyone. Maybe a politician made an important vote, or your favourite cookie now comes in a gluten-free option. Maybe you just really like a brand's sustained commitment to a policy or attitude you like. Maybe a restaurant made sure your burger didn't have cheese. Restaurants, brands, and really everyone, has the same issue: you can have 100 interactions, 100 customers, and 98 of them are happy... but only the 2 unhappy will leave 'reviews.' Politicians only seem to hear from us if we're mad, mailing petitions, protesting, whatever. Do they get thanked for idk, voting to increase funding for low-income veterans? Does a restaurant you like get enough good reviews? Nabisco probably doesn't actually care that consumers are happy about being able to eat an Oreo without getting sick, but a LOT of major billion-dollar brands haven't come out with gluten-free versions of their top sellers and guess who did? Have they been thanked lately? Send 5 positive messages to 5 groups, restaurants, businesses, politicians, whoever. The messages CAN be sent electronically (like on social media) OR you can send a postcard. I suggest postcards because they're cheaper to mail and a postcard doesn't have to go through any kind of security, holding up your mail getting there. IF you want to send anyone on your swap list a physical note, you always can! It is not mandatory. DO SEND YOUR PARTNER A MESSAGE ON SB to share who/what you had thanks for, even if it's just a name/date and you aren't comfortable with revealing what you said. If you get a message from that partner, AND the partner names 5 people they thanked, rate a 5. If they sent a message but didn't have 5 people listed, rate a 3. |
