Crazy for Kawaii

Does everything have to be brand new and complete, or can we send things like loose stationery from our own collection?

Yes, I would like to know also. Personally, I would like an assortment of stationary. But then you couldn't really determine the price...

can we suggest things we might like and not like to receive? There's such a variety of things, I'd love the guidance from my partner :)

Well, I like anything sanrio, pucca, food shaped, retro (esp. '70s) or kitschy. I don't like: Winnie the Poo, Sailor Moon. It is very hot, so I would caution against sending anything that could melt.

I am a little worried by the low scores of some of the people in this swap! A couple have more than one comment saying that they didn't send anything out for previous swaps. I have been burned in swaps before and am really looking forward to this one!

Here is confirmation of my package being received. I hope that everything arrived safely. I sent some wonderful, breakable items. I hope that Brandy will be kind enough to share pictures if she has access to a camera. I have sent my package and am unsure how the feedback system works. I do not want to be penalized for not sending mine out. Please advise.

I am upset. I still haven't heard about the status of my package. I never received word whether the bowls I sent arrived safely. I took a lot of time and care putting the package together and would appreciate a simple note stating whether or not the contents were suitable. Please advise. I don't want to participate in numerous swaps if I'm not even going to get credit for doing so.

I imagine my partner was one of the ones who didn't send anything because I haven't received anything yet. Talk about a bummer. I never even heard from the girl I sent my package to. It was super nice. Two Japanese Monkey Bowls, A Girl In A Kimono Pen, Asian Kitty Makeup Bag and an Asian Girl Bookmark. So sad that people can't even send a simple thanks. I hope all swaps aren't like this.

Hi all - I haven't received anything yet and Swap-bot is not giving me the function to "rate my partner" so I can find out who was supposed to send me something. If you did have me and are running late, it would be nice to know. If you're punking out - that stinks!

I haven't received anything either. But it is the end of summer. School has started up here again and I know how busy I am trying to get everyone and everything together. I'm not going to freak out until a week or so after I'm alows to rate my partner.

When can we leave feedback on the person who sent us stuff?

this is crappy. i'm in another swap and my partner to send for that swap is who i'm supposed to receive from for this swap. however, this person has all 1s. i doubt i'll be getting anything, and i sent a really awesome big package to my partner for this swap. i hope they liked it. i was looking forward to getting some really cute kawaii stuff. now i'm just bummed.

Besides, you never know, she may see your swap and feel horrible about stiffing you (if she is, and hasn't simply forgotten) and send you something wonderful. Just keep your fingers crossed.

I haven't gotten anything from my partner, even though it is marked sent. Of course I have no idea when it was sent. I wonder how long to wait before I do the feedback form? I want to give her enough time to send it... I think my sender is on the west coast and I am on the east coast so that could be it... But, how much time do we give before we do the feedback? Partner, if you are reading this shoot me an email because I don't want to give you a bad rating just because the mail is slow!

Not to worry, Debi. I have fried brains too even in chilly Vermont! ;-) I'll be happy if I get it next week. I will be suffering from "empty nest syndrome" as both kids will be off to college. I will need a bit of cheering up!! So, the timing will be perfect after all. And thank you to the person who took the trouble of sending it back. That was very considerate!
