Description:

Do you feel like you get jipped when you send out good quality supplies and get stuff from the dollar store back? We all love the dollar store, but this swap is for those looking to send and receive some quality paper. If you love paper, especially themed and coordinating paper, then this is the swap for you! There have been a lot of swaps for scraps of paper, but this swap is for those who want to send and receive brand name paper in scrap booking sizes. Here’s the guidelines:

  1. For this swap you must send AT LEAST 15 pieces of paper
  2. Paper must be one (or more) of the following sizes: 4.5 x 6.5, 5 x 7, 6 x 6 or 8 x 8 or if you’re feeling extra scrappy 12 x 12. These are standard scrap booking/paper crafting sizes.
  3. To make sure that quality crafting paper goes out (and not 99cent store stuff) Your paper must be from one or more of the following brand names (See more suggestions in the comments below): K&Company, Basic Grey, DCWV, Urban lily, Martha Stewart, My mind’s eye, Daisy D’s, Me and my big ideas, or Karen Foster Design. The paper you send out does not have to be cardstock as long as it’s from one of the lines listed above. The point is to NOT have crappy paper.
  4. This is sender’s choice, but it wouldn’t hurt to browse your partner’s profile for their color preferences etc. Try to mix up the lot you send (as in don’t send all solid colors or 15 sheets of the same paper). Coordinating paper (a few from the same line/theme) are always a plus too! Please be sure to tuck in a note letting your partner know the brand/theme you sent her so she can go out and get more!
  5. Everyone likes extras! I figure if you meet the minimum requirements, the rest is gravy (or sprinkles on top for you cup cake fanatics!). So if you have some matching tags or other embellishments (flowers, brads, stickers, ribbon etc) tuck them in! I’m sure you’re partner will appreciate it :)

As Always, I’ll be screening profiles. I’ve had flakers in the past so shady looking profiles will be dropped.

Okay folks, you get the idea. Paper supplies vary on locations I suppose. I don't have access to a bunch of those listed above. The idea is to stay away from generic Wal-Mart brands and focus on the higher quality stuff.

I love this swap for two reasons . 1 I love name brand papers who does right? My 2nd reason is all of our local or should I say scrapbook store within 30 miles closed their doors so I have been ordering online and also some of my good scrapbooking friends have sent me some cute brand name papers from their local store Thanks Ladies. I am a huge fan of crate paper, and bo bunny the brand listed in the swap intro I can find them at HL or Ms but if I get some of those papers I am still grateful.

Hey guys, Please remember that Flat rate shipping boxes/packets will save you MAJOR money at the post office. I had to ship a swap to New York last week, it would have cost $21 to send so I slipped it into a flat rate packet and I only had to pay $5!!!

Yes I will have to start ordering on line paper, our scrapbook store have also closed, What's up with that. Any way I have already found some really nice paper's to swap! Hope my partner loves them as much as I do... I will have a hard time giving them up....

The majority of scrapbook stores are closing due to the shitty economy. Since scrapbooking is a hobby and not a necessity (well, to non-creative people) they have to close up shop. It's a real shame :(
