No new decos in this swap. The purpose of this swap is to move established decos for ANY destination, and keep them in rotation until they are sent home.
Requirements:
This is an international swap. Please be sure to send via First Class Mail or Air Mail. Do not send via "economy" mail.
Send one established deco to one partner. The deco may have a USA or International Destination.
Check before sending that your partner has not already “passed” on or made a page in the book, and that they are not the maker or owner (final recipient) of the deco book. If you don’t follow this rule and send a book your partner can’t sign, this does not meet requirements.
Any theme, any size, or any type of deco is allowed in this swap – this is sender’s choice.
Last pagers are OK to send (that means there is only 1 page left in the deco after you work on it so the next person will be responsible for sending it home).
Include a note with your swap-bot ID and the swap name inside your envelope.
Send by the deadline and rate promptly upon receipt.
If your partner has already signed all of your established decos, or you do not have any decos on hand, please follow these guidelines if starting a new ART-style deco:
The person the deco is for (who it will return to) should be clearly noted somewhere on the deco. Include an email address. For this swap, the deco can be made for someone in ANY COUNTRY.
Make the deco in booklet form, meaning you open the book and pages are attached inside. No books with pages attached in one corner.
No staples may be used when making art decos. Please use tiny brads, ribbon, string, etc.
All decos should have at least 3 FLAT design elements/items on your cover decorating. (Ex: die cuts, ribbon, washi, vellum, one (1) sticker only, etc). This will allow the deco to be mailed cheaply and have a greater ability to be traded in future swaps.
Art decos can have hand-painted or drawn elements but it is not a requirement. Compared to 'friendship books' or "sticker slapped decos" Art decos are more high quality with a polished appearance.
Use sturdy paper with paper cut straight, and the inside paper should be easy to adhere to and not glossy.
Things to avoid: enamel dots, gems, buttons, 3D foam stickers, chipboard cut-outs, etc...mainly due to USPS postal changes which will increase the cost of postage significantly.
If it's fairly flat and can fit in a normal envelope, its chances of getting full and being returned to you are much greater. Huge, bulky ones are much harder to move along.
Decos received in this swap may be moved in any other swap - a private swap or in any swap group - you do not need to wait for the next "round" of this swap, as it is not a round-robin type swap.
Feel free to post in the comments section below if you are willing to accept extra decos.
If you have feedback or questions, kindly send me a PM, as coordinators are not notified when comments are posted.
Thanks & have fun spreading your deco joy!
