Description:

This is not a swap with ephemera-filled envies, but a swap with envies MADE OF ephemera! We'll make 3 envelopes for 1 partner. The envelopes must be made of anything EXCEPT for regular paper or scrap-booking papers. You can use anything else that can be folded into an envelope such as:

• food boxes or packaging • handmade paper (the thick or textured kind) • book pages, maps • decorative shopping bags • corrugated cardboard, unusual packaging • newspapers or magazines or wrapping paper as long as it’s lined or reinforced somehow • fabric paper, ledger paper, printed posters •

Anything that wasn’t born an envelope; feel free to post ideas in the comments!

These are just examples, so feel free to come up with your own. No minimum/maximum size, as long as they're mailable. They can be different sizes if you want, depending on your stash.

Since it depends on the sender's imagination, I'm giving more time to sign-up (complete other swaps, get through the holidays, etc.). How/what the envelopes are made from is sender’s choice.

Once partners are assigned, then we’ll decorate the envelopes using 3 or more different mediums/craft supplies (collage, ephemera, paint, washi, stickers, stamping, drawing, gelli, etc.) based on one or several of our partner’s profile likes. At the very least, please don’t make anything that’s on their “do not send” list :) We’ll have another 10 days to decorate them. This part of the swap is partner profile-based.

~ 3 handmade envelopes made from ephemera to 1 partner

~ envelopes can be all the same (a set) or all different, sender’s choice

~ sent in a decorated envelope (something your partner will be excited to receive) using real stamps

Usual group rules apply; I’ll check profiles before assigning partners & always angel my swaps if necessary. No 1’s or 3’s in the last 6 months.

You must belong to the International Snailmailers Group in order to join this swap.
