Description: | |
For this version of a cut and paste handmade postcard swap you'll take one single image from a book or magazine and make it into a 4x6 postcard using a sturdy recycled backing. This is not a collage, but one single image to cover the entire 4x6 recycled backing (from packaging or similar). Use an engaging image that you think would make an excellent postcard, or use your partner's profile for inspiration. Be sure to use quality images on paper that will survive the mail system. Newspaper isn't a good option, which is why only book and magazine images are listed, but even some magazine pages are too thin and delicate. Use your best judgement. Keep in mind that slick pages may not do well with a liquid glue, so use a quality glue stick or tape runner for adhering slick images to your backing. Once you have your image stuck to your backing, write swap info and message, address, stamp and send naked (no envelope). Write an actual message, not just a stamp or happy swapping. I intend to make this an ongoing monthly swap, and I'd like to keep it USA only for postage cost. |
