Description:

Hello my dear friends,

What is it about this time of year that make me want to burrow away and just read. Preferably with a nice cup of tea beside a warm fire. I guess that answers the question.

Let’s start off the new year gently. I have always loved when I’ve been able to be a part of a book club. Reading separately then coming together to discuss common interests and themes. For this swap we will try to recreate the feeling of such a literary club.

Choose a book to read that is either set in our time period, or about our time period. We will not be reading the same books, choose whatever catches your fancy.

Make a book-marker to send to your partner that somehow relates to the book you have chosen.

Along with the bookmark, send a note that answers the three questions below.

** This thread has many suggestions of books if you haven’t already set your heart on one: https://www.swap-bot.com/forums/topic/146590/5 **

Swap details: 1) pick a book to read about our Georgian Era or one that was set in the era. 2) Create a book marker that is somehow related to your book. 3) Write your answers to three questions 4) Mail all to your swap partner in a darling little envelope before the swap deadline. 5) Have fun!

Questions:

  • How did you feel while reading this book?

  • What questions did the book leave you with?

  • What would you say to recommend or dissuade someone from reading this book?

If you have any questions please let us know! Happy New Year!

You must belong to the "At Home with the Georgettes" Group in order to join this swap.
