Altered Notebook Swap Newbies Welcome!

This is so cool! I'm only in a dilemma if I should join because I'm on a holiday from May 29th until June 1st. And all the other days are work. Maybe a few days more time..? And what size should the notebook be? Like A5?

Kalimorgana, I changed the send date to the 8th of June, so that should give a few more days. As far as the size of the notebook/spiral A5 is perfect. I understand if you dont have access to exactly that size but somewhere near it should suffice! Hope this helps!

Principeta, You can choose whatever type of spiral/ composition book to alter it just has to be standard size (A5). If you cant find that exact size Its ok for it to be a bit smaller or a bit bigger. As far as the altering goes... this is Senders choice. But I do ask you make something that you think your partner would like based on their profile. You can add anything you want to it... Tabs, a bookmarker, alter it anyway you please. But the front and back cover do have to be altered. If you do a search on Flickr there is A LOT of examples for you. Hope this helps.

Do we alter the pages inside too?

Its totally up to you.. If you want to alter a few as dividers... whatever you want you want to do. But there is no requirement as far as having to alter pages, Because this is a notebook for you partner to use to write in.

I am thinking about joining this swap, but just a question first can you re-bind an existing notebook? I just bought a bind-it-all and like to have every excuse to use it.........

Yes, definately! You can alter the notebook in any way you please! Seems like Re-binding it would add a more personal touch! I hope to see you join!

What are the measures for an A5? Not really new to papercrafting but I dont make cards so this term is sort of not familiar to me.. dk

14.8 X 21.0 cm. Dont worry about getting it right on. As long as the notebook is "regular" size and not a mini or anything than that is fine. I made an exception in the comments, matter of fact Ill just edit the swap! If you cannot find that exact size its ok, I understand were all over the world on this site and cant all get the exact same thing. So once again, Just as close to that size you can get it can be bigger or a little smaller.

Perfect. Today I found a very cheap notebook which cover was a bit damaged (that's why I had a discount). It's excellent for this swap, because I'm altering the cover anyway! I'm really looking forward to altering this book for my partner! I'm also very curious about the book I will receive! I love to be surprised :).
