Description:

Do you love cooking, and enjoy collecting new recipes to try for you and your friends and family? Are you considered the Family Chef and enjoy cooking for everyone?

As I was standing in the line to buy dinner groceries, I was eyeing the recipe magazines they had on display. Thought to myself, you all had suggested swapping these and since I think it is a great idea (and need a reason to buy one for myself) .. here is a swap:

We will each get one partner. I noticed that they were about $5, so let's try to keep it fair/even and set that as the approximate swap amount.

The send date is 3 weeks but that should be enough time for everyone to pick one up. Feel free to get it on your next shopping trip ...

Fine Print

Please have a 4.7 rating or better, and no recent unexplained no-sends! Newbies are welcome, however I do have the right to ban anyone from the swap I feel might not participate.

Because of shipping rates, this is US only. If I see that non US swappers are interested, I might host a swap for international. But at this time, just US.

If you love swapping recipes and meeting people that do, check out Family Chef group! Click Here!

I love magazine swaps, but I'm in the UK. If you decide to do an international one I will join!

When I set it up, I will be sure to message you!

Do they have to be new . . . or can we "recycle"?

I LOVE recipe magazine books! Question, can they be the smaller ones, like the Pillsbury or do they have to be the magazine size like the Rachel Ray ones?

mearae 06/28/2009 #

i also would like to know if they could be recycled ones?

I thought I answered this over the weekend on my phone..but it didn't post! Sorry for the delay!

The smaller ones are welcome, as long as they fit in the $5 price range. You can check out your partners profile on likes/dislikes to purchase one if you like. Example; I don't like seafood, and it's in my profile. So anything NON seafood would be great. Or if someone is a vegetarian and lists it in their profile, try to find a magazine to fit that description.

As for recycled, that is your call. I think it would be hard for anyone to know if it wasn't brand new, unless the pages were messed up and there is obvious wear and tear. They need to be in brand new condition, let's put it that way. Please let it be something you would like to receive!

Would back issues of Taste of Home magazines be welcome? I have stacks and stacks from the past 10 years in great condition.

hrrrmmmmm...I told my husband I would cut down on swaps unless they were recipe swaps...think he'd know the difference? I too have stacks of Taste of Home Issues that I'd like to get off my hands! (so please don't send older Taste of Home Magazines to me--ones that are 1 year or younger are a-okay!)

Hey, any idea when we might be getting our partners assigned for this swap?? The date to sign up was July 8, and I am anxious to send out....

I'm so sorry that I was so late assigning partners on this swap!

I completely forgot until someone messages me. If I need to tack on a couple days to the deadline of this swap, please tell me!
