Halloween Sock Kit Swap 2009

Hello everyone!

I invite you one and all to join in a Halloween Sock Kit Swap!

For the past two years I have hosted this swap, first on the Lime & Violet forums and the following year on Ravelry (www.ravelry.com). We have had a great time with100% follow through on the delivery of packages to partners. It was so fun, I wanted to do it again!! This swap will be marked private and only those with Ravelry or Lime & Violet (who are all probably on Ravelry anyhow) shall know the password.

On to the boring stuff.... The Rules!

1) You MUST join Swap-Bot (www.swap-bot.com) if you have not already done so in order to 'join' this swap.

2) You must be a Ravelry or Lime N Violet MB member. This is a private swap, so only those from the MB/forums with the 'password' can see and join the swap. This is really nice, as it means that we get to know each other better and almost 100% eliminates someone from not getting a package. Granted things/life does happen.

3) DISCLAIMER - As it is a 'Halloween' Themed Swap, there really isn't a color 'prefered' sort of swap. Your partner can 'choose' to contact you and find out if you have one color you like over another, BUT it is NOT REQUIRED.

4) You must and I mean REALLY MUST be ready to have some fun!!!

Prepare Package - 9/14 thru 9/26

Send Package - 9/27 thru 10/10

Everyone should get their kit in plenty of time to knit their Halloween Socks!

COST LIMIT? I think $40.00 is more than enough to put together your packages. Granted it could be soooo easy to go overboard, and if you want to... go ahead! (This does not include the price of shipping.)

What to include??? Halloweenish SOCK YARN is a must! A sock pattern (Bellatrix by Momma Monkey comes to mind. Wouldn't creepy Monkey Socks, by Cookie A be great too???), and a notecard from you.

The rest is really up to you! :: Candy, stickers, black nail polish, fake sparkly eyelashes, fake tattooes, candles, incense, B-rated cheap horror dvd, a few tricks! Whatever your devlish little minds can make up!
