For this swap you will create 2 cards based on the complementary color of your partner's favorite color. It's easier than it sounds. Every color has a complementary color. For example, the complementary color of orange is a medium blue. If you are puzzled, search Google, there are serveral sites that pop up when you search "complementary colors." Here is one that may be helpful (it discusses complementary colors and quilting but paper is just stiff fabric, right): http://www.examiner.com/x-858-Quilting-Examiner~y2008m12d24-Color-basics-part-2--complementary-colors Once swap partners are assigned, find out your partners favorite color either through their profile or email. Then create 2 cards using the complementary color of their favorite color. You may use their favorite color in your work since it will complement your work. However, try to challenge yourself to make something that would make your partner say, "This is my NEW favorite color!" To recap, that's one partner, two cards (at least 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 with envelopes) done in complementary color of your partners favorite color. Newbies are welcome. This should be fun! |
