Description:
I am so excited about this swap, as I am a newbie to swap-bot

and this is going to be my first swap that I am coordinating.

So here it goes.

This swap is open to everyone who has a 4.8 rating

or higher with at least three mail swaps, ATC cards can be included as mail swaps with no no-sends or ratings of a three or one in the last four months. Newbies are welcome with a fully filled out profile and an e-mail to me. I will constantly be checking profiles and will ban anyone who has a fishy profile or who do not meet swap requirements. As this is my first swap that I am coordinating I will not be able to angel it, so everyone who joins, please be true to your partners.

THEME The theme of this swap is a mini pirate's treasure chest. You can purchase an unfinished wooden box at the dollar store or at a crafts store such as Michael's or Ben Franklin's. The box can be of any shape, such as square or oval, but should be at least 5 inches long, x 3 inches wide, x 2 inches deep on the outside (this includes the lid) and at least one inch deep on the inside. You can either paint the box or stain it, but both inside and outside must be done. Then you can decorate the box according to the swap theme. You can use your imagination, but try to make it as authentic looking to a treasure chest as possible. When you are done with the box, you will put at least three items inside the box. As the treasure inside treasure chests are always a surprise, the items will be of the sender's choice, and so you will not have to follow the profile of the person you are sending to, but the items should be something that your partner will be able to use. Some ideas would be stickers, jewelry, mini note pads, mini picture frames, rubber stamps, small candles, candy, etc. Items can be new or gently used. No crapy stuff, but things your partner would like.

PART 2 Yes there is a second part to this swap. :) We all know that all treasure chests have at one time belonged to a pirate. So the second part of this swap is to do a profile on your pirate that your treasure chest belonged to. You can pick a pirate from history or make one up yourself. The profile should include the pirate's name, the years he/she terrorized the seas, his/her location, it can be anywhere in the world, and a brief biography on him/her. You can write this out on a blank piece of paper and decorate this accordingly. Then you can roll it up to look like a scroll, tie it with a nice ribbon, and include it with your box. Since you will not have to be checking profiles you can start working on your boxes as soon as you like. Again, be creative and have fun.

Note: Any extras that you decide to include may earn you a heart. Also, any questions, please e-mail me.

This sounds fun, but I hate trying to do creative writing...I suck at it. Let me know if you do one where that isn't a requirement! Thanks!

To kimbeewa- I think ladeiraven only means write as little or as much as you want about your pirate. At the minimum his name, dob, place of birth and date of death. On the other hand, for those who like to spin a tale, a little synopsis about the pirate's life would be ok too. I would hate to see you miss out on the fun.:)
