Description:

Christmas my most favorite time of the year....I came up with this idea when I was creating an ATC for another swap. This is Round #2

In this swap you will create four (4) ATCs - the normal size 2 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches, on sturdy card stock, cardboard, or whatever you normally use for it. Just make sure its sturdy and not floppy.

You will also need to figure out a way for them to be hung.

There are 7 themes below - pick one theme and create your 4 ATCs from that one chosen theme -

a. 4 Seasons - make one from each - winter/spring/summer/fall

b. Christmas

c. Your partners favorite colors - pick atleast two of their favorite colors to create their 4 cards

d. Christmas greetings

e. Garden

f. Likes from your partners profile - pick atleast one and go with it

g. Trees

RULES:

Create something that you would be proud to receive

No smoky smelling items to be sent

Read your partners profile - see what their allergic to and don't send it - example allergic to chocolate, allergic to pets, allergic to smoke, etc.

You need to attach the hangers for your ornaments.

THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIT IN A SLEEVE and yet be decorative to hang on the tree.

Don't stick stickers on a card and call it done, use your creativity and create - any combined mediums can be used, stickers can be used as long as they are incorporated into the atc. There are some people that do a great job in doing this. What we don't want to see is "just stickers'.

Everyone MUST have a completed profile to participate. Any questions I will ask.

You must have signed on to Swap-bot atleast the day before the swap partners are given out to participate in the swap.

5's are given for swaps that meet the requirements, NOT for whether you like the send or not.

The send must be something that you would be happy to receive. Heavy card stock is important in the swap. The atcs must be able to be used, don't forget to attach the hangers to your work.

Hearts are given for extras

The lower ratings are given out two weeks after the swap closes they are given for late sends and no sends. If you are going to be late please keep in contact with your partner so that it does not jeopardize your rating.

If YOU have been in a swap I have held and have FLAKED on myself or your partner in a swap of mine...don't sign up. If you were my partner in another swap and FLAKED on me don't sign up.

This is open to everyone with a 4.8 rating and higher. NEWBIES are welcome with a completed profile.

I will be checking prior to assigning partners.

(I will post a picture of an atc ornament in the next few days)

so, do these need to be flat enough for sleeves, since we're making them for the tree? (a 3d poly clay atc set could be too thick for sleeves, but great for the tree....)

I don't understand why you are telling us to look at the partners profile to see what they are allergic to, which would imply that we would be sending some sort of food gift also? Or am I reading into this? Is that how we get hearts? so a really nice ATC would only get a five? Just asking.

My understanding is that hearts are given out at the discretion of the receiver, not for extras. Please note SB rating system.

Jananini - i was thinking along the lines if your partner is allergic to pet hair, smoke, etc, to be taken into account. I normally put that in my swaps.

Sending something extra for a heart is always nice, but it is an optional thing of course.

I've read the SB rating system and yes your right Jillian but i have seen that others have put hearts in for extras as well. I always thank someone with a heart for the great work they have done and/or the extras they have put into it.

dreamerkins - your atc should fit a sleeve but should also be able to hang on a tree. the last time i did this swap i receive a beautiful set of atc ornaments that could fit in a sleeve as well as hang on the tree. so i would make them so that they fit in a sleeve.

On the allergie: I once almost sent a needlefelted wool ATC to someone who was allergic to wool - last minute double-check of her profile made me realize I needed to make something else! So it doesn't just have to be food.

[sorry, i saw this swap in someone else's profile and came to see what it was about, and couldn't resist commenting on that topic. too bad I missed the deadline!]

camelsamba thank you for commenting i think it was a great comment and yes there are other allergies other than food. There are wool, animal fur, etc sometimes there are things we have never ever thought about as well.

I'm sorry u missed the dead line, i promise to host another one
