The Thrifty Santa!

There are so many great 'secret santa' swaps floating around out there but with a bum economy I know there are a lot of us, myself included, that can't participate in as many as we would like.

So my solution? Let's be thrift store Santas!

Every participant will be assigned one partner. You will go to their profile, browse around, try and learn a little about her or him. Then you'll go to your favorite thrift store and shop around, find something that you think your partner will enjoy. You can buy as many gifts as you want but let's keep our budget for this swap at $10. That's pretty hefty in thrift funds.

Due to the nature of this swap, please make sure you have super detailed profiles! Favorite colors, types of books, things you collect- you want people to get a general sense of your style. What do you want to know about your partner before you shop? Think about that and make sure your profile includes it =)

You guys may want to try and take advantage of flat rate shipping boxes for this one! Make sure you wrap you gift(s) and include a card (handmade or otherwise).

The unfortunate details: US only due to the cost to ship, no recent 1s, 3s, no-sends. I will angel if I need to but lets keep with the spirit of the holiday and be fair/make each other smile =)
