Part Two

NOTE: this is a two-part swap. If you join this one, you must also sign up to the other one. Click here

You received a fantastic picture from your partner in the previous swap. Now you will hand embroider the Picture. Choose whichever ground fabric, thread and stitches you want. You may embellish it if you like, but try to keep the focus on the embroidery to show off your wonderful stitching skills!

I suggest that you make a copy of the picture if you risk damaging the original in whatever transfer method you are using.

The finished size should be 6x4 inches – standard postcard size. Make sure it is finished neatly and sturdily with no thread ends visible on the back. You could back it with felt or other fabric and edge it with satin/ blanket stitch.

Then whack it into an envelope and send it to your partner. Even though it’s a postcard, it will be safer to send in an envelope. You may need to attach a customs declaration if you are sending overseas (we do in Australia for any non printed material).

Please let me know if anything is unclear. Above all, have fun and let your creativity loose! Thanks to
sunnysidey for letting me host this swap

You must have a rating of 4.8 or higher and have completed at least 10 non email swaps.

What a great swap! Will we be sending back to our original partners whom we received the picture from, or to a different partner?

I am guessing seeings as swap bot assigns the partners we could end up with anyones pic

Nattyj: as Neca84 says to a different partner
