Description:

Spring will soon come again, bringing a nice warm sun, fresh breeze, flower scents... It will also bring Easter - which to us edibles swappers means chocolates, lol - juicy fruits, fresh vegetables, outdoor lunches, tea-times and dinners, pic-nics and small weekend trips. So, let's swap some spring time in an edible way!

I thought of preparing a small lucky parcel. What's a lucky parcel? It is simply a parcel that is very nicely wrapped. It can be a little bag or just a parcel, as long as you put care and imagination in the wrapping, like using a nice giftpaper, a special ribbon and a nice designed gift-tag on it with your name and your message to your partner, perhaps explaining why you chose what you chose to send. You can also add any little crafty thing you'd wish to create a wonderful gift to recieve, such as stickers, beads, buttons, felties. ribbons, etc.! You can check the internet to get some ideas and examples.

Then, inside the parcel, you must put some little treats such as something useful to cook with, snacks, hot or cold drinks, any kind of mixes, Easter chocolates, etc: Think springy, if you can, but don't get nuts either - the important thing is to give a spring-feeling within the lucky parcel you'll make and not necessarily with the food you'll send. Out to give an useful info about the shipping, I'd say to send not less than 250gr / 8.8oz of food and the spending amout could be 7$/5€ not including shipping costs.

The simple rules to follow:

  • 1 partner, 1 small lucky parcel.

  • Sign up date: February 28th; Sending deadline: March 15th

  • Without being too picky, remeber to list your allergies and serious dislikes in your profile, and be sure to check partners' profiles, too.

  • Package your items appropriately. Glass items and fragile foods should be wrapped and boxed to prevent breakage. It's a good idea to use a plastic baggie for anything that can leak, melt, or tear open during shipping.

  • Please send items in their original, sealed packaging for health and customs reasons. Be sure to check expiration dates and only send in-date food items that will not expire before reaching your partner.

  • Send and rate on time. On the rare occasion that you may need to send a bit late, please contact your partner AND the swap coordinator before the swap deadline has passed.

Have a great springy swapping!

Sounds really neat. By march we'll be in autumn over here though.

I'd LOVE some Kinder Eggs and Kinder Hippos if anybody can get their hands on some! ;)

Haha @Tatsu I had forgotten about the other half of the world! :D Well, at least you'll get a nice spring parcel to enjoy while outside it's autumn :)

lol. It's summer right now and yeah, the weather hasn't made up it's mind as of yet. I might join this one, depends on what I find at the Peruvian crafts/food fair tomorrow. (It's the last weekend they'll be open) If there are any spring items that have a long exp. date, I'll definitely join.

Well, @Tatsu don't worry if the food items aren't that "springy", as I wrote in the description the important spring feeling must show in the package!
