Time to get your creative juices flowing! Thanks to the ever-fabu Mousepoo I've been given the OK to start monthly theme page swaps in our happy little group! Here's how to play.... Each month one of us will start a challenge themed page swap. You will use that months theme to create an art journal page (No smaller than 5x7!) for ONE partner and send it off to them. Your swap partner can use that page in our of their own art journals (or anywhere really!)! This months challenge theme is to take one word from your swap partners profile and create an art journal page about that word! This is a great way to collect fabulous artwork from many different people and in many different styles. You can be as creative as you like and use any medium(s) you enjoy but please remember to send something that is creative and that you would like to receive. You will have ONE MONTH (Until the end of March) to create your art journal page. No flakers but Im fine with new people with well filled out profiles and no unexplained 1's or 3's.

I'm so excited to be hosting this! There's a great thread in the Art Journal Love Forum for those of you interested in either binding the pages together or whatnot so don't forget to check that out too!

Question: If this is going to be a monthly swap shouldn' t the pages worked on be a definite size so if the final result is a 12 page journal, they will be consistent in size, or doesn't that matter.

There will be a montly theme that requires pages to be 5x7, the usual moleskine large size page. But also... we were thinking of pages that could be fit into a three ring binder, 8x11. So, really...it would be up to the receiver. Whether to make their own journal out of the pages they slowly collect, or fit them into their current art journal.

But yes...the theme swaps will be strictly 5x7.

I have never done an art journal before. I did it sort of like an altered book page or a big atc... Is that okay?

@hollycm6 ..Yes thats the general idea! If you want, you can do a search for Art journals and there are usually some fabulous images that come up.
