Freebie Postcards in an Envelope

Are you one of those people who enjoy finding the freebie ad postcards stashed in various businesses around town? If you're like me, you have more than one of each kind, and you might be tired of flipping through the same ol' postcards when you're selecting one for a partner. Let's shake things up a bit!

For this swap, you'll send 3 freebie postcards to each of your 3 partners, for a total of 9 postcards sent. You are going to be sending these to your partner in an envelope, with nothing written on them, so that they can add them to their stash and send them in the future. Include a note with your name and the swap name so your partner can give you full credit for your scavenging skills. If there is a fun story behind finding any of the postcards, include that too!

For the purposes of this swap, a free or ad postcard is defined as a flat sheet of cardstock, printed on one side with a picture or an advertisement of some sort, with an almost blank back. By almost blank, I mean it can have the standard trappings of a store-bought postcard (small amount of writing in a corner, or further advertising info), but it should be otherwise blank and ready for a message and an address. In other words, these free ad postcards must have been printed with the intention of people sending them as a postcard. Please do not include pieces of advertising that are fully printed on both sides.

Wondering where to look if your own selection is mostly store-bought? Freebie postcards can often be found in libraries, tourist info stands, and other civic establishments, in retail shops on the counter or near the door, tacked onto bulletin boards of coffee shops, in your junk mail from non-profit organizations as a guilt-trip to induce you into sending them a check, or, for those of us who are really lucky, in specially marked shelves in the entrances or bathrooms of urban nightlife locales.

The 3 postcards sent will be sender's choice, as there can be some limited availability when getting something for nothing, but please check your partner's profile to make sure you are not sending anything that would offend or be distasteful to them.

Participants must have a 4.6 to join and have been rated for at least 5 mail swaps.

Please have a well-filled out profile, as it's frustrating to get a partner and not have any idea of what they're like or what they'd enjoy receiving.

No 1 ratings in the last 6 months.

I will check all profiles before assigning partners, so please don't waste my time or yours by signing up if you don't meet the requirements and haven't contacted me.

Because you should be able to fit the swap in a standard first-class envelope, I am making this swap international since postage won't be too exorbitant. I think it'd be fun to get advertising postcards in all sorts of languages!
