Hello Queens

Bear with me I am making this up as I go along.

I have always wanted to make a journal about the A-Z of crafts and have been putting it off forever so I thought why not make it into a swap.

There will be a new letter posted each fortnight (alphabetically) and the idea is you make a page all about crafts of any kind starting with the letter of the swap.

The pages should be a standard size so we can paste them into our jounals when we receive. I thought to fit in a 11.5 x 8 book would be fairly standard

So what do you need to do.

Create a least one page about a craft beginning with the letter A. For each letter you should include either A finished product,(ATC, bookmark, Inchies, Dottees, etc) A photograph of a finished product (obviously for larger projects or your prize winning oil painting LOL etc), or a pattern to follow (knitting, crochet, cross stitch, recipes etc). Any type of crafting is acceptable.

So for A you could do an ATC. Explain all about ATCs and include a finished ATC, or you could to an Art Journal page, explaining the background to your page and including a photograph of one you have already done.

The A could also stand for a technique rather than a finished product such as Alcohol Inked...... something.

I have said every 2 week for the next swap to go live but I am happy to change this (please comment below) as it could take a long time for our journal to be complete. Or we could do more than one letter at a time.... I am completely open to suggestions.

So in summary one (or more) pages about a craft starting with the letter A, with an explanation and example, to one partner.

International

The boring bit....No newbies for this one (sorry) no one or threes in the last 3 months and a rating of 4.95 or above with 10 complete type 3 swaps. I know that may seem harsh but this will be a very time consuming swap.

Any question please post below.

Great idea for a swap! I have a question: can we use instructions printed from the internet or a how-to page from a magazine, or does it have to be entirely handmade? I don't mean just gluing something to the page, but just something to make it easier to finish, giving us more time to decorate/embellish or write notes on the page. Does this make any sense?

Yes it makes sense. As you have explained it, not just gluing a page in and calling it done, then yes printed instructions will be OK to use.

I'm a little confused, so we make the craft we are describing (say an ATC for example) we inclue the instructions and a picture on teh page only, or do we include the actual ATC also?

If you are making something small like an ATC yes you include it on the page. If what you are writing about is too big for a page then you include a picture or a pattern to use.

This swap sounds so fun and I think it will really help me branch out and try new crafts!
