Description:

I'm pretty skint at the moment, but I need a little Swap-Bot fix...

Here's a cheapish little swap, which should still bring a smile to our faces.

You'll send 5 letter-writing sets to 2 people, so you're sending 10 letter-writing sets in total.

One set is classed as:

  • 1 Notecard and matching/co-ordinating envelope
    OR
  • 2 Sheets of letter paper and matching/co-ordinating envelope

Some of these can be homemade, but please take the time to create something nice if you do this.

This is international as postage shouldn't be too expensive.

I will be reviewing participants so please message me if your rating/feedback gives cause for concern.
I will try to angel this swap if I have to, but please don't make me, because I really don't have a lot of spare cash at the moment.

Posted mine today :D

Not sure why the lady at the postoffice pulled a real face when I say 'yes' to has the parcel going to canada got a letter inside it! She said I should have said NO... What difference should it make? Is it cheaper to post with out including a letter? Is it a customs thing? Is it just taht she has to do more paper work? I was a little suprized to be honest? Oh well never mind it's on it's way! Really enjoyed getting all the bits together... Would play this one again.

That is kind of weird Biff, I mean don't most packages have some sort of letter inside? I always send a little note/letter with all of my packages just letting the person know what they are getting and for what swap and so they know who to rate and the like.

My Post Office asked me the same thing (I'm in the UK). I think it's a price thing. If you include a letter, I think it might cost more, isn't that crazy? The funny thing is, if you include a "note which only relates to the contents of the package", that doesn't count as a letter. So, if they ask if the parcel contains a letter, say No, or "only a note which relates to the contents". Does anyone know what the price difference is?

Ah! OK, I looked it up.
The standard way of sending mail overseas is Letter post. This is the most expensive.

If you're sending "gifts, goods or commercial samples", you can send them Small Packet rate which is cheaper. But, you can't include a letter, or it needs to go letter rate. You can, however, include "You can also include a letter relating to the contents but no other personalised correspondence. "

There is another rate, if you're sending " books, magazines, newspapers, leaflets and pamphlets", and that is "Printed Papers" rate. Again, "You can include a letter relating to the contents but no other personalised correspondence." Please write ‘PRINTED PAPERS’ in the top left corner.

Hope that all makes sense.
Might post this up on the forum, if it's not there already.
