Description: | |
You will be sending one partner a notebook full of thoughts, ideas, and images relating to religion, faith, spirituality, and even things that have come to be known as mythology (Greek pantheon, etc). While you will probably want to talk a bit about what you yourself believe, it should not be about just one religion or belief system. (See the bulleted guidelines below for ideas on content.) Swappers of any beliefs are welcome, from the orthodox to the atheistic. You must simply be open-minded to peeking into someone else's spiritual or non-spiritual world. Notebooks should probably be standard 8.5x11" (composition book) size. It can be a composition book, spiral notebook, drawing pad, whatever. If you choose to use a smaller book, please ensure it is no smaller than 5x7", as anything smaller really won't give you enough room. Plan on filling 30 pages, or about 1/3 of the book. The rest of the pages are for your partner to do their own journaling in. There is ONE main rule for this swap: Absolutely NO insulting, derogation, or condescension about any faiths or beliefs. This does not mean you can't be lighthearted, funny, or include questions about things you don't understand, however. Check out your partner's profile to see what they may find over-the-line, and if you're unsure about including something, please PM me and I will help you decide. So what should you fill these 30+ pages with?
I am giving a LONG period in which to create these, so please put thought and effort into them. Remember these Swap-Bot ratings guidelines:
Hearts are for you to give out at your discretion, for any reason you feel like giving a little extra love. Please contact your partner first before rating them a 3 or a 1-- we all run into trouble sometimes, let's give each other the benefit of the doubt and work together if things don't go perfectly. To join, you must have a completely filled out profile with at least one snail-mail swap completed, and no 1's in the last 60 days. If you have a 3 from the last 60 days, please be prepared to explain it. Journals are SO time-intensive, I don't want anyone to get short-changed here. Any questions, please message me. May this be a joyful and thoughtful experience for you! |
