You will send 1 ATC to 5 partners...any theme is open. You can look off your partner's profile and send something tailored to that...or you can send one of your atcs you've made already.

You Must Make Your ATCs This is Not a pass-on one from someone else. Also please do not cover the back of an ATC and try to pass it off as your own. That's a BIG No-No!! Please no just stickers slapped on either...make them nice, something you would want to receive in return.

This is international. Since this is free-theme you can start working on your ATCs now so they'll be ready to go when partners are assigned!!

Your ATCs must be the required size of 2.5in x 3.5in. If they are not this size, you run the risk of being rated down.

REQUIREMENTS(Please note these have changed from the last swaps)

  • 4.9 rating or higher
  • 15 or more mailed swaps (email doesn't count)
  • No no sends
  • No flakers
  • Must have a completely filled out profile to participate in this swap
  • I reserve the right to ban as I see fit. If I feel you cannot complete the swap in anyway or have had any problems with you myself, I will ban you, no explanation needed.
  • You must send out on time, this is requirement, you send late, you can be rated a 3.
  • You must RATE when you receive your card.

Are you kidding?? Do people really try to pass other people's ATCs off as their own? Unbelievable!

weeatcrayons 07/22/2010 #

Yeah unfortunately a lot of people have ran into some on here :( It's pretty disappointing!

They even try to sell them on Ebay.

RadicalRecrafter 07/27/2010 #

How can they SELL an ATC?! Isn't the whole point to trade them? (Sigh.) Sometimes I really don't understand! Well,I've got a whole bunch of ATCs made up already! All my own originals! :)

I must admit I am new to this whole ATC I actually had never even heard of them BEFORE joining swap bot.. but I guess they have been going on for quite some time.. but I would NEVER in my WILDEST dreams try to pass someone elses work as my own. even if i'm creatively run out and tired and dont have any new ideas.. i just sleep on it and new stuff comes to me. now i have taken images and used them but on the back given credit to the illustrator or whoever did the true image I used in an atc IE a painting or picture from a book.

I actually bought my very first atc off of ebay for $4 with shipping, it's a cat with a bird on his head, I just needed to see one in person to see if I could make one for myself, now I have about 400 or more trades.

I guess I am the old woman here of ATCs. I have been trading ATCs for about 6 years and have over 3,000. I have 4 large albums of 9 pockets of assorted cards, one album of just cats, and another of just animals and insects. I had to really cut back on my trading as I am getting way too many of them. They sure are beautiful to look at.

I think I may wallpaper the living room with mine! (Just kidding). But, with so many beautiful cards, I need to find a way to display them better. :)

By the way, I think my name is different on the back of my cards. I've gotten remarried recently and have changed my last name. Everything that I've sent out is my own work. Thanks, Kimberly

Generally when they're sold they're supposed to be called ACEOs--Art Cards Editions and Originals-- rather than ATCs.
