Tailgate Kick-off apron swap

It's that time of year again... Kick-off the tailgating season with this fun apron swap. Perfect for crafters and sports-fans alike, this swap entails the creation of a handmade apron. Sew from scratch, reconstruct with the use of fabric scraps, or as a super-last resort, purchase one.

To participate, sign up before August 31st. Visit swapbot after that date to see who your partner is. You will receive one address for a recipient for this swap. It is highly recommended that you contact your swap partner about his/her favorite team (can be a college team, nfl team, child's school colors) to gather information for the production of the apron. Be creative with use of fabrics and trim - should be very fan-focused. Adorn with mascots, a favorite player's number, iron-on patches/transfers, etc. The crazier the better!

The contents/materials of this swap must value at least $10 (unless sewing from materials already owned). Item must be postmarked by September 12th so that everyone will hopefully receive theirs around the start of the football season. Don't forget to email, comment on blog, or thank in the flickr photogroup, the person who sent the package know that you received it.
