Description:

Okay, so I have seen on many profiles "don't send me this because I have too much of it!" So I figured, why not make a swap where you get rid of some of you excess and get some of you lacking? But in order for this to work, you and your partner will have to communicate to make things fair.

So here is how this will work:

  1. Leave a comment stating what you can offer for the swap.

  2. Once you have been assigned a partner, let them know what you want and see what they want. Be sure that you both work it out so you are evenly represented (example: if you partner wants to send you a large ball of yarn and they want scrapbook paper, don't send them like two pieces. Send them a nice stack.) Communication here is KEY!

If you have any problems or suggestions, let me know and I will do my best to sort them out. If you end up getting a partner who only has the same things you do, don't worry. I plan to do this same swap over again a few times so you can have a fair chance.

I can offer ribbon, glass beads (nothing fancy;they are from Wal Mart), and lace.

I'm not sure I understand this:

"Be sure that you both work it out so you are evenly represented (example: if you partner wants to send you a large ball of yarn and they want scrapbook paper, don't send them like two pieces. Send them a nice stack.)"

B'c we don't sent to the same partner that sends to us usually? Or is that the way this swap works?

Can you help me understand the rules? TIA! Janelle

Sunshine - This would work in a group; but won't work in a public swap environment because the partner you send to is unlikely to be the partner you receive from.

I have tons of fabric, ribbon, beads, and lots of other stuff.

I see where this may be a problem. Well, I suppose you could just tell your partner who sends to you what you want and ask the partner you send to what they want.

I have ephemera, postcards, postage stamps, ribbon, papers

how do we do this? "you could just tell your partner who sends to you" ...

I don't think it's revealed who is sending to you??

You can see who sends to you by clicking the rate your partner option. This shows who is sending to you from the date of assignment. You don't have to rate them then, just see their name :)
