Ughh! What an ugly postcard!

I know this is naked, thas fine, unlike what you put on my swap! But I'll be nice anyways, but can this be vintage too or is suppose to be just new cards only? All my vintage are in great condition too. If thats ok, I will join when it gets closer to the due date. For now will put on watch.

I know I have asked this somewhere before - but could some one explain all the technical terms for the post cards?

Naked is written on - sent in the mail.

What do you call one that is sent in an envie? Those are the only two ways that I know of.

You don't really call it anything other than 'in an envie'...at least to my knowledge. You'd think there would be a term though!

Wouldn't the obvious term be 'clothed'? ;-)

@swappinggoofy I've also seen people refer to postcards in an envie as "covered".

Sure, vintage cards are welcome. Also a pc that's maybe yellowed or the edges are tattered could be considered ugly. Something you wouldn't be able to really use in most swaps.

no the airplane/jet pc swap I have set up. The reason I set them up that way is because if we get a pc we dont like, we add it to our fliker to trade with other people. Plus, I just want peopel happy with their pcs is all.

I dont have any yellowed or tattered pcs at all, may I ask if it has a spot on it, tha someone stuck tape too, & tore it off then sent it to me like that, will that work???

I normally if I get pcs that are in bad shape, throw them away, just because Im so picky about the pcs we recieve & send out to people too.

Ive always known naked & stamped to be written on & unwritten on is in an envie. Hope that helps you out.

That'll work, bbq. Again, I apologize, sometimes I can come across a bit sarcastic or snarky and not even realize, but it's not intended that way. Anyway, I save all my postcards for my daughters. I want them to have fun reading through them from all different places and all different people, with different stamps, etc. someday when I'm gone.

I hope to have at least 1000 and maybe more before I stop. Last count was 245, so I have a ways to go. LOL I'm also using postcrossing as well, but that's a bit slower, although the variety is nice.
