Description:

For this swap you will have one partner and will make a handmade gift for your partner's child. Make sure to include your child's age and gender in the comments (or in your profile), and if you like you can also mention things your child likes (but what you get will be up to your partner). If you want to participate but don't have any kids it is fine to put down any kid you'd like a gift for (nieces, nephews, friends' kids, grandkids, etc. There is no price range since it's handmade, but please make something nice and substantial that you have spent time and thought on. I'm setting the deadlines so that you can give the item you receive as a Christmas gift if you like.

This swap is open to swappers with feedback of 4.7 or higher and feedback for at least two swaps. I reserve the right to ban suspicious swappers, and also to allow swappers who I believe were given a bad feedback unfairly, if their rating is very close to the cutoff. If you see any bad swappers on the list, please let me know before I assign partners so I can remove them. :)

My daughter, Winter, will be 8 in January. She likes animals and anything girly.

My daughter, Delma, just turned 1. She still puts everything in her mouth, so please no little parts, buttons. Also, we're Jewish so if you want it to be a holiday gift, please make it for Hannukah and not Christmas.

Her room is bright pink, orange and white, but she doesn't seem particularly picky at all about colors yet. She's really not picky about anything, she'll love any gift she gets! :)

My son, WILF, will be two in Novemeber. He seems to have developed a fondness for elephants from somewhere (I blame disneys dumbo, but I guess some people do just like elephants)... He has a pale yellow room with giraffes, birds and elephants here & there & two (kind of cute) pirate canvases on the wall & does a great 'arrrhhh' sounds when you ask him what a pirate would say! He also does good elephant impressions too!
He loves postman pat, bob the builder, thomas the tank engine, but most of all dumbo! (or BO as he calls it!)

However I'm sure he would love whatever you decide to make for him!

It's going to be fun - hope I get a girl to make something for (that's not a tom boy!) will make a refreshing change to think girls instead of boy boy boy all the time!

Have fun folks!

Swap-Botters must like the unusual kids' names best. :)

hi, im new but i have the cutest ever new pattern for a winter scarf and hat. I would love to make one for someone, if allowed to join. my 2 yr old daughter has one and its still 90 degrees here and she carries it everywhere with her! Im New New as of yesterday! matter of fact, but would love to join this swap. I have some other swaps i signed up for yesterday that i have been accepted to, but i dont think i will have my feedback in by the signup deadline. :-( Please let me know if i may join or not. If not i understand, and would be willing to do a personal swap with someone if interested in receiving the cutest ever scarf and hat set, (with a surprise added)! Dont worry the set will be specific to boy or girl.

My daughter Gianna just turned 7 over the summer. She is a girly girl alright. She studies dance and is performing in her first Nutcracker this holiday season.

She loves pink, purple, jewelry, glittery things, and princesses. She also loves dolls and baking with her Easy Bake oven.

That should give some good ideas.

I'm looking foward to this swap!

Biff! I think WILF is a fantastic name! My girly will be 2in in January, and she does a wicked pirate noise too. And also a great monkey noise.

ok i made it. whew.

wow, dumbo, pirates, princesses, so many great ideas.

now the hard part - i cant decide who to choose for this swap. my little ones are in other themed swaps, so for this one i think i will go with my oldest.

Myriah is 14, almost 15. She likes WVU, plays a pink saxophone, electric guitar, acoustic guitar, loves girly things. ideas might include: a purse, hair scrunchies (her school colors are green/gold/white, WVU colors - blue/gold/white), a colorguard flag (i make her practice flags myself from any very light fluttery material, nylon, silk, lame, etc. size approx 36" tall x 56 width" this includes a 3" sleeve for the pole)a pretty decorated momento box, as we are saving her programs and other misc things from competition to make a momento box for colorguard/band, just havent done it yet. a flag bag for her practice poles (poles are 6') simply a long drawstring bag with a handle to carry the flag and pole in. She collects crocheted dolls. Doesnt sit still long enough to read, but loves journals. She has been after me to make her a journal that looks like the book of shadows on the tv show charmed. A handmade pendulum, so she will leave mine alone. She does have her ears pierced. Also, any craft kits you may want to put together. She likes to make/try new craft kits (jewelry, beads, ATC kits, etc.)

If that doesnt get ya started with ideas nothing will. LOL
