Description:

This swap was developed by Kris but due to unfortunate circumstances she can no longer host so I have volunteered to take it over.

You will have 5 partners. There are 5 themes and you are to make 2 ATCs for each theme (that's 10 ATCs altogether). You will randomly select 2 of these 10 ATCs to send to each of your 5 partners.

The themes are listed below:

2 Retro 2 Winter 2 Music 2 Food 2 Country

That's 2 ATCs for 5 partners thus you are making 10 ATCs altogether. I hope that's not too confusing :)

The ATCs can be made with any medium. Make them something you would love to receive!!!

This swap is international. Your ratings must be 4.8 and up to join (I will check before assigning partners). Sorry no newbies for this one.

Have fun!!!

Can you give me an example of Retro and does the country mean like cowboy boots, etc. or out in the countryside? Probably dumb questions but only had one cup of coffee so far today please forgive!!

I'm really new here.... what's an ATC????????????? Thanks

Hi Lulda,

As this was Kris' swap I have no idea what she meant by retro or country. I guessed the retro meant anything before 1969 or so. My retro ATCs are on my flickr account which is available from my profile if you would like to see them. I guessed country meant country cottagey interior decorating style. I plan on embroidering some gingham and adding button embellishments for them :) As far as I am concerned you can design these ATCs any way you like as long as your partners can tell which category they are from. Have fun!

Hi Kimberley,

Welcome to swapbot! An ATC is an Artist Trading Card. Each card is 2 1/2" by 3 1/2" in size. (About the size of an ordinary playing card). If you google Artist Trading Cards you will see lots of examples. There are also instructions on how to make them on a number of sites. Also, trawl the forums on swapbot and you will find lots of help.

Have fun!

Thanks Kimberley: This will give me a better direction to go in and I'll check out your site. :)

I'm tempted to do a thoroughly british take on "country" for this now >:)

cbzcando 10/11/2007 #

Oh Rillaith - I do hope I get one of your british countries! I'm going the yee-haw cowboy route as well!

Rillaith 11/ 6/2007 #

Just a quick one for my partners (will PM them in a mo) - I'm running a bit behind, and these will probably not all make it to the post office until Thursday at the latest. Angel1980's were posted already with another swap for her, and the rest will be tomorrow/Thursday.

Finally, my last ones off to the post office. Cbzcando, you've got a country one!
