Nickel Charm Packs - Blue I just returned a stack of quilting books to the library and one of them was all about “Nickel Quilt Blocksâ€, quilt blocks made from 5†charms. The power of suggestion was so strong for me I was inspired to gather in and hoard more 5†(100% cotton) fabric charms resulting in this new swap series. Nickel Charm Packs: twelve 5†charms in coordinating colors and prints You will send 2 partners one blue Nickel Charm Pack each in any shade or print of blue you want. Senders may send the same Nickel Charm Pack to each partner or a different one to each if they want. Step 1: Pick your Blue base print and at least 2 other prints that coordinate with that blue base print. Example: say your blue base print has pink and yellow flowers with green leaves; find a pink print to match the shade of pink, a yellow print to match the yellow and possibly a green print to match the leaves Step 2: Cut twelve 5†charms from those 3 fabrics, tie the stack of charms off with a ribbon creating a tempting package like you might see displayed at the fabric shops, stick a note in the ribbon stating the swap name, and your name and send it off to your partners. In each charm pack you may send more than 3 different coordinating prints cut in any combination as long as you send 12 charms in each Nickel Charm pack. (Example: 4 blue print, 4 pink, 2 yellow, and 2 green) Please no solid fabrics, but you may send tone-on-tone prints. Questions and concerns are always welcome. I will angel this swap but will publicize if you flake. Next month our Nickel Charm Packs will be recipient’s choice base color or print. |
