Every year people all over the world make one or more resolutions for the year to come just around midnight on new years eve. And every year only a few weeks into the new year people find out their is no way they will stick to their resolution.

The swap is inspired by a swap we hosted in 2010 titled 'Make My Dream Come True' which a lot of you enjoyed :-)

This swap is for you to help your partner with a few kind words and items that you think will help them stick to their resolution. Send a letter along with the stuff you’ve chosen to explain why these things will help them. Be as creative and as imaginative as you want.

No value amount (I know that no one in this group sends crappy stuff :-p) but you must send at least 10 items.

When you sign up, write one or more resolutions in the comment area that you want help for.

My resolutions:

  • to help others more by giving things that matter. My current focus is the street people in our town; my family is giving out paperback books along with our change - folks on the street lose skills, and escaping into a book is especially important for them.

  • to use the time and energy I have to do as much good as I can.

  • to ask for help when I need it, and learn to accept that I need to receive as well as to give.

  • to be grateful for what I have, and not focus on what I lack.

My Top 5 New Year's Resolutions are:

  1. Do one RAK every day, whether it be here in my town or through the mail. Small or big, I want to do one RAK every single day.

  2. Get dressed up more often. I have been in sweats and t-shirts way too long. Not only making me feel better, but making my hubby and kids smile too, lol.

  3. Find a way to earn a little money online. To be used for my hobbies or other extras I want to do. Allowing me to put more of my husband's income into our savings.

  4. Organize and keep organized the area that I place new items I pick up on clearance sales or coupon deals. I hope I'll be able to help others with these things.

  5. Volunteer more time at my daughter's school and with the PTO there. I hope to find more resources to get much needed things for all the kids. Or at least increase participation in the Box Tops and Campbell's Soup Label programs.
