Description:
I'm cleaning out my stuff (after all it's January - almost) and found I have too many of some sizes. I buy the packs of hooks with my coupon and end up with a bunch sizes I don't need. Time to swap them out. Such a simple little swap. For this swap you will have only one partner to send 2 crochet hooks of any size. (senders choice) They can be new or used but not scratched or bent. Remember that they can't be sent in a regular envelope without padding, and that postage price will be for a package and not a letter because it will be thicker than the 1/4". Swapper requirements: Open to newbies and other swappers rated 4.9 or higher, but no 1's. I will check before assigning partners and ban anyone who has slipped in ratings or is posting on their profile that they will late in sending for any reason. I reserve the right to exclude anyone if I believe they will create problems for other swappers. If you flake I will post about it.

Any size but G or steel hooks. Cannot get used to using the small hooks, maybe because my eyes are going LOL?

Please no small steel hooks. I am looking for larger crochet hooks to make rag rugs with or the long ones you do afghan stitch on. Thank you.

Hum... From reading the swap description, i thought this was sender's choice for the hook size. Do we have to go out and buy hooks if people make special requests in the comments section? In my store (canada) hook sizes are limited. I wouldn't want to be rated down if I can't get what my partner is requesting. Should i drop this swap?

Yes, it is supposed to be senders choice. I worded it that you send two of any size and I assumed everyone would understand you might get any size from your partner. I think you can leave "hints as to what size ypu would find helpful - but you can't rate down if you don't get those sizes.

I wanted this to be a "swap what'ca got" type and there's always an element of surprise in it.

Toupti - don't drop the swap - you had the correct idea.

looks like a great swap but i would hate to not be able to send what is requested. If you do another that is totally senders choice then i would love to join!

The swap is senders choice. The idea as stated is to swap your extras. If anyone has special requests or needs this might not be the kind of swap that would bring them a smile.

darn tootin' i have a collection of crochet hooks, and yes, it will be a suprise! no one should be punished if they don't give you what you want.... kinda my problem with swap bot.... too many picky crafters...if you don't like it, pass it on to the next swap!

I agree with you geekchickrys. I have alot of hooks to pass on, but for sure not some of the ones people are asking for so I think I will skip this one.

Sorry if I offended anyone. I will take whatever is sent to me, I just thought if anyone read what you liked or didn't like they could choose to send something that you wanted.

My comments were not meant to construe I only wanted particular crochet hooks; only to say that I was in search of those particular hooks and if there were a decision to be made larger hooks were better for me.
Looking forward to the senders choice !
