Description:

This is part 1 of a 7 part ATC Challenge originating with Going Twinsane as the host. I have been given permission to restart and complete the challenge. When finished, we will have made all the cards necessary to construct the entire US Monopoly game board.

Originally, we completed the 4 corners of the board. Challenge #7 will consist of creating the 4 corners so that those new to the challenge can create the entire board and those from the first challenge need not repeat that part of the challenge.

You will have one month to complete and mail the designated 6 ATCs to one partner. Each ATC should represent the individual space of the game board including the name of the property and any monitary values associated with it. However, these should not be an exact duplication of the original board. Please be creative and showcase your skill and personality!

PLEASE-No sticker slapping and calling it good.

You must have a rating of 4.5 or higher and no 1 or 3 ratings within the past 45 days. This IS NOT a swap for newbies!

SWAP #1: 1. Mediterranean Ave 2. Baltic Avenue 3. Oriental Avenue 4. Vermont Avenue 5. Connecticut Avenue 6. Income Tax

Happy Creating!

What a fantastic idea. :-)

Thanks, but it wasn't originally mine. I'm just happy to take over. It will be fun - one of the family's favorite board games. I intend to mount and frame mine for hanging in our family room!

Just to clarify because I think this is an awesome idea....we are making the first 6 cards as a catch up? And then we will continue with each side and the special spaces? Trying to visualize the amount of work and materials involved. :o)

So we can pick a central theme and go from there, correct?

candlelady 01/27/2011 #

@Leigh - Each of the swaps consists of making 6 cards except for the final swap which consists of making and swapping the 4 corner spaces which will still be in the ATC standard format of 2.5"x3.5". This swap takes over where the other swap left off. However, if you were not in on the first swap, you can catch up on swap 7 of 7. If you already have a set of corner ATCs from the first swap, you can choose to not participate in swap 7 of 7. I will be making another set of corners and will swap with those of you that didn't do the corners on the original swap. Eventually, we will make one ATC for each space of the entire board. Hope this helps.

@stlouisphile - Correct. You have artistic license to create the ATCs as far as theme and style. You should stay true to the original Monopoly game as far as color, property names and prices that are standard.
