Dotee Doll Kit:inspired by 'Enjoy's Dotee Doll swap. (for all the art doll fans) You will have three swap partners. This will be an international swap. The ideas is to send each of your partners a kit that you have put together yourself. Everything they need to make one dotee doll, except for the stuffing & thread... When creating your kits think about the content You will need to add: -One piece of fabric no smaller that 4"x4" -Enough felt for a face & floss for detailing -Small beads or a special ribbon or cord for loop -A selection of beads and something special to dangle (for what I call the tail)! Be it a bell, special bead or embellishment. -A mixture of other embellishments (again, beads, buttons, charms, blossoms, ribbon, floss etc) for body decoration, head pieces or hair! If you have a special something you like to add that I haven't thought of feel free to put it right in there. Just a thought: Best to have a little over than not quite enough! Not that I want to appear greedy but the idea is you can make a dotee from the kit with out touching your own supplies. (bar thread and stuffing) As mentioned already this will be times three swap partners. You don't need to go out and buy stuff purely for this swap (although what better excuse to shopping do you need!) It will be nice to try things that you might not have in your own stash or might not have thought of buying for yourself... If you are a match box fan maybe you could even decorate a match box to hold all the little bits and bobs or you could customize an envelope to hold the entire kit. Think about how you will wrap this, pretend you are making a kit that you might sell at a craft stall or make it look like a lovely present. Be creative. Think about the kind of thing that you would like to recieve. I really don't want to put people off with this bit as sometimes simple things work best. All I ask is be thoughtful! Don't forget to add a note, card, tag or letter with your basic info on so everyone is clear which kit was from who. Any questions please ask. No hard and fast rules for sign up but, in the nicest possible way, if I smell a rat they will be dropped! Most importantly enjoy & have fun making up your kits :D |
