Description:

This swap is inspired by a swap I saw on swapbot awhile back by lovestitches http://www.swap-bot.com/swap/show/7669 :) This swap is for U.S. only (if some-one wants to make an international version...that's great!). Open to swappers with a rating of 4.5 or higher OR Newbies with completely filled out profiles. (Sorry no exceptions...I will ban anyone who doesn't meet the guidelines or anyone who otherwise is flinging bad Mojo). You will have 2 partners. ******WHAT TO SEND: send each partner a small bit of unframed embroidery....just make a small embroidery on a bit of fabric, stick it in a regular letter envelope (or card) and drop it in the mail! you should only need a 41 cent stamp to mail.....the size should be 4x6 or larger (just try to keep the size something that could be easily framed or made into another project by your partner)....embroidery whatever you like, you do NOT need to cater to your partner's profile .....there will not be a lot of time between sign up and send by date (feel free to start embroidering as soon as you sign up since you can embroidery whatever you want) (I was asked if punch needle embroidery qualifies...that's okey dokey!) ********RATING: please don't forget to rate your partners....remember you are NOT rating their skill level, the money they spent, or their personal taste, etc....you are rating whether they fulfilled the swap requirements (that they sent out an embroidery by the send by date)....but please do give a heart to any special packages! NOTE: don't forget to put your username and the swap name somewhere in/on your packages (some people are in lots of swaps and it can be hard to keep track) Happy Swapping!

This swap is great I love embroidery and it is cheap and easy too, paints and pastels can get pricey but embroidery thread is still reasonable...I have some really fun ideas for this project...happy sewing everyone!

hope everyone has fun making their embroidery pieces! :)

Boy! I was really looking forward to the 'easy' part of this swap! I searched all over for a suitable image to embroider, couldn't make up my mind--too many choices--then thought I'd do a little sampler, then found a nice X-stitch kit I had already so I started that, messed up in the first row and now it's all off, then I broke the needle--Aack!

I'm going back to the sampler idea, with normal crewel stitches and a freehand design. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to get out of bed! ;)

oh no twobluecrows! i definitely don't want ya'll to stress over this one! A simple image is just fine...doesn't need to be anything you spend days and days working on! Hope you have fun after your initial debacle! :)

I've gotten way too extreme in this one! I did send off one already, and the other is almost done--My partners are aware of my current insanity! and are being patient saints! I don't seem to be able to do anything easy! LOL

I think I need to just do more embroidery, more often, so I don't feel so much like I need to do it all at once! LOL Cyn
