Just to let my potential partner know, my hair is in a bob, if that makes any difference to you.

My hair is very thick and very long, about to just above my hips. I have it thinned a few times a year but small things still don't hold my hair very well and I'm lucky if I can get a tie to wrap around it twice without breaking. I use mostly larger hair clips, headbands, barrettes and ties. Ribbons are also fine, I like to braid them into my hair. I'm always looking to try new things in my hair but will never cut it short.

I keep my hair mostly in a braid, sometimes that braid put up. Anything helping to keep halfway-to-back-length hair in place like headbands or clips would be welcome as well. I do not use big metal clasps as they tend to break my hair.

hair is fine and it is hard for me to find items that don't weigh my hair down. I am excited to give in this swap more than to receive because I have some excellent shops and boutiques that carry lovely items that i can never wear//////////////////

Sorry, I forgot to put my preferences! I have medium length, average thickness, medium brown hair. I use "scrunchies" (cloth-type ponytail holders), and headbands (both the soft type and the hard ones). I like those hairpins with jewels on them. I also like pretty barrettes.

I forgot to mention that I have very thin hair, too. And absolutely straight.

I can help with that! When it comes to hair extensions, the shampoo you use makes all the difference. The key is to avoid shampoos with sulfates and alcohols, as they can dry out the extensions and make them brittle. Look for products that are specifically formulated for hair extensions, often labeled as sulfate-free or for dry/damaged hair. These are gentler and help maintain the moisture balance of both your natural hair and the extensions.

One brand I personally swear by and found through https://exc-beauty.com/blogs/news/what-shampoo-to-use-for-hair-extensions . Their shampoos are designed to cleanse gently without stripping away natural oils or causing the bonds to weaken. Plus, they’re packed with nourishing ingredients that keep the extensions (and your own hair) looking shiny and healthy.

Remember, it’s not just about the product but also how you use it. Be gentle, focus on the scalp rather than the bonds, and always follow up with a good conditioner. Your extensions are an investment, so treating them with care will ensure they stay beautiful for longer. Hope this helps, and enjoy your fabulous new locks!

These tips from the blog https://exc-beauty.com/blogs/news/what-shampoo-to-use-for-hair-extensions have helped me and my girlfriends a lot. We now use quality products.
