Description:

I love inchies and I wanted to create a swap for inchie lovers that would have a really different theme each time, and that would be easy to complete and light on postage. This will be a part of an ongoing series of inchie swaps...

For this swap, you will make 4 inchies for one partner, with an Asian theme: geishas, lanterns, origami, kanji writing, fans, cherry blossoms, etc. You can use any media that you like, but please send your best work--you may use stickers, but please use them artistically, and keep with the theme. I am requiring a 4.5 rating to be able to join this swap; please explain recent 3's before joining and no recent 1's.

Upcoming themes I'm thinking about are: 4 seasons, elements, metal, embellishments, one word, hand-drawn...

F.Y.I. An inchie is a miniature work of art. An inchie measures exactly one inch square and is made of a sturdy paper backing, or it can be made of fabric. Inchies are decorated with a variety of media, including paint, paper, drawing, collage, mixed media, rubber stamps, sewing, etc. If you think that inchies are too small to make creatively, you are wrong! There are many itty bitty things on the market that are perfect for making inchies: scrapbooking paper with small prints, thin ribbon, tiny brads, little rubber stamps, stick-on rhinestones, etc. They are totally addicting once you start!

P.S...This swap is an Type 3 because there is a craft element...

So how many inchies? What's the theme for this round? We need a little more info, please.

smmarrty 05/20/2011 #

Okay - I see the theme. Four inchies?

Fenix825 05/20/2011 #

So....4 Asian themed inchies to 1 partner? Is this correct?

ladydy5 05/20/2011 #

Where do u see the theme and how many?

sheryl0503 05/21/2011 #

I'd like to join the swap, but few questions. inchies is 2.54cmX2.54cm right? and every inchies should be deco by self? or it can be the one part of deco paper. Thank you for answer my questions...

ladydy5 05/21/2011 #

WoW! I just noticed the theme, sorry!

It looks like the theme and number are in the title of the swap. Inchies can be what is called a quadriptic where they make one picture when put together but should also be able to stand alone as one picture. It will be easier if they are not connected as a whole picture. It would help if the host could clarify in her swap message if we are correct on the four inchies with an asian them and does it matter what country in asia? China, japan, india, pakistan, korea (S,N) there are so many asian countries. can we do one in four different countries?

pirategrrl775 05/24/2011 #

wth! now my edits wont work and I cant even describe the swap in my comments!!! grr..........I will talk to admin to try to fix this....sorry!

pirategrrl775 05/24/2011 #

OK---fixed it....I had to type all of the info again---it wasn't accepting my copy and paste for some reason for this one......hope this clarifies it all

pirategrrl775 05/24/2011 #
