Please clarify for me... Is the arch to be mounted on a standard ATC rectangle or is the finished work in an arch shape? Thank you. Sue

Hi Sue, The finished ATC should have an ARCH shaped top. You can use one of the templates above, or simply mark about an inch down on each side of a blank atc, and then cut from the mark to the middle of the top, in an arch shape. Hope that helps.

I understand. Thank you. Sue

Is the theme a free theme? Just as long as the top of the card is arched?

wolfeagle 06/ 4/2011 #

Yes, the theme is sender's choice.

Just to be sure before I would join, being that the swap states to at least have 4 layers, does this mean that hand drawn or painted cards are not accepted?

wolfeagle 06/14/2011 #

Hand drawn and painted are accepted, but the requirements is still to use four layers, so that means you can use hand drawn as one layer (or more) and use the remaining other layers as something else, or draw/paint four seperate layers, and then combine them some way. Have fun.

Hi I already joined this a made it and I am just now seeing the 4 layers, what does this mean exactly?

wolfeagle 06/18/2011 #

@BambooPanda13 4 layers means there should be at least 4 layers of materials or elements on your ATC. At least 4 components or steps. You can use any four elements that you want including but not limited to: it can be papers, paintings, stamps, water colors, acrylics, markers/sharpies, pencil, pastels, text. embellishments, images, vintage components, lace/trim/fabric, photos, texture components, found objects, etc.

For instance in the first example above where it says Click Here, the artist has used like 12-15 layers, from the background paper, then stamping or embossing the paper, then adding the marie antoninette image, the lace, then adding the feather, then adding trim, and roses, and ribbon, the thing at the top, the fan, and jewels, and each embellishment. There are many , many layers, working together to make a great ATC. For this swap, you have to include at least 4 layers, but you can of course, have more if you would like. :)
