Description:

I love inchies, and I am always looking for some new supplies to add to my collection. This swap is meant to be an inexpensive de-stash/share, so postage should only be between 64 cents and a dollar---I don't know if you can get away with 44 cents, since some of your items may be bulky, and we all know the post office doesn't like that....Just because its a de-stash/share, it doesn't mean its a chance to get rid of your junk; please send quality items that you would like to receive. Anything dirty, stained, sloppy, previously used, having glue stuck on it, having a cut through it so it can't be used, etc, should stay with you. You can be rated a 3 if you send cruddy stuff! This is sender's choice, but you may want to check your partner's profile to see what they like.

For this swap, you will send 2 partners each item from the list below. You can feel free to add more, but not less than what's listed:

*10 inchie blanks--these are just sturdy-backed 1 by 1 inch pieces with cardstock or decorative paper on them. ( I glue cardstock onto used hanging file folders, then use my paper punch when the glue dries to get blanks) You can use plain paper, decorated paper, or even rubber stamp or emboss your paper for your blanks.

*10 punched-out punchies--I think you know what I mean!

*10 (total pieces) embellishments: brads, stick-on rhinestones, stick-on pearls, eyelets, buttons, etc.

*10 small images: from collage sheets, magazines, books, or you can rubber stamp an image on cardstock

*5 (at least 3-inch square) pieces of interesting paper such as origami paper, vellum, ephemera, handmade paper, scrapbooking paper, etc.

*5 tiny stickers--no larger than 3/4 in.

*3 4-inch lengths of ribbon (choose something other than plain satin ribbon), yarn, lace or fiber

*2 items of your choice that you like to use with your inchies: whatever it is that you really enjoy using that's not listed above--include a little note saying why you like this item, and how to use it (if necessary).

NOTE: if you don't have a particular item listed above, you will be allowed to substitute for what you do have--if you don't have punchies, then send 10 little stickers, or 10 collage images, or 10 postage stamps, or 10 of something else.....please put a note in with your kit letting your partner know you have done this

Sounds like a lot, but when you put it together, its not that much. Please, no recent 3s or 1s--I do check profiles! If you have questions, please pm me....

May I ask what Inchies are used for? Are they like ATC's but small?

PenguinParade 06/13/2011 #

@deLux , Inchies are just fun little bitty 1 inch piece of art. Some people have been collecting them and putting them on a canvas. (Check out @LauraAust for an example of this) I've thought about using some in scrapbooks or even on ATCs-but I haven't yet. I'm sure other people have other uses too.

What are punchies? Are they those little shapes you make with a punch? I don't really have any of those.

@deLux -I don't know if there is an official name, but I have seen the term punchies used, and yes, they are the little shapes you make with a punch.....if you don't have any, or haven't received any from another swapper, or you don't know anyone with a punch for you to make some with, I'll let you substitute something else....I will added this in the note in the description above so everyone will know they can substitute items...

Thanks! I only have one little punch.
