Do you have one favorite book that you think everyone should read? Maybe a book that you comeback to and read all the time? Well this swap gives you the opportunity to share that book with someone else! All this swap entails is putting a paperback copy of one of your favorite books in the mail for someone else to enjoy. A Used copy is recommended since it's cheaper, but feel free to buy a new one if you wish.

This swap is easy to ship. Just stick it in a padded envelope or wrap it is brown paper and ship it Media Mail. Books are allowed for Media Mail and MUCH cheaper. Most paperback only cost $1 or $2.

Thanks for joining this swap!

you have a known flaker in your swaps @tazwoman .. she has flaked on multiple children and adults.. some from 6 months ago that she has yet to make up for and 1 recent 1 where the host was kind enough to give her a chance and got flaked on by @tazwoman She keeps deleting her profile comments and every time she signs up for swaps and gets banned and told to make up her swaps first, she simply signs up for a bunch more. So I thought you and your participants should know who has signed up for this swap in case it was missed in the participants list.

Really would love to join, but need to check out if there are cheap shipping conditions for books send from Ireland too - will watch this for now :)

Hello, You don't mention newbies in your description so I thought I would introduce myself.

I only joined this site recently and I'm already addicted to it. Today I sent off a dotee (my first ever)!!

I enjoy writing and am about to start my third year studying creative writing. I love reading as part of my course and for fun. My only problem with this swap is chosing which book to send.

Please don't drop me - I would love to get a new (or old!!) book!

Thanks! ^.^

Angrychickenknits 07/ 1/2011 #

We are happy to have you @vickygr I am having a hard time picking which book I want to send too!

Angrychickenknits 07/ 1/2011 #

20 people in the swap! that's fantastic! let's see if we can make it 30!

Artandsoulgallery 07/ 1/2011 #

I am new on swap bot but am very reliable. I have been an online seller for over 10 years on ebay and have excellent feedback as testimony to my reliability :) I would love to join this swap if you don't mind a newbie.

HeidiJean 07/ 2/2011 #

Thanks for allowing newbies (I'm assuming you are?) I can't wait to pass on one of my favorite books! And, of course, to get some new reading material. So excited! :)

HeidiJean 07/ 4/2011 #

Oh, also, maybe it'd be a good idea to stick a little note in the book, explaining why it's such a favorite? I plan on doing that with mine, I hope it's okay? I figured it makes it a little more personal?

ladeebug 07/ 4/2011 #

I think putting a note in the book explaining why it was a favorite is a great idea. I am a avid reader, so have many books to choose from, I can't wait. ha ha Now to decide whether my partner likes mysteries, romances, non-fiction, time-travel, hmmm. .

joellrod 07/ 4/2011 #

my book looks cheesy but its really good i promise! i reread it every year or so.

emilyjane 07/ 5/2011 #

The book I am thinking of sending if I join the swap does contain a bit of intense language and imagery, which I am not usually a fan of, but honestly is one of the few books I could read and read and read. Should I attach a note giving a warning, as well as exlaining why it's my favourite?

Ruthshi 07/ 5/2011 #

Sending my fave book will be expensive if shipped by air.. will it be alright if I ship by surface airlifted?

Chachi 07/ 5/2011 #

hi. i'm new to this website also and would like to join in. i am apart of several different swapping sites and are in great standings.

thanks! looking forward to trading!!

HeidiJean 07/ 6/2011 #

My book is by Stephen King, and in my "why this book is AWESOME" letter, I'm going to give a warning, because King can be a bit graphic. Maybe those that DON'T want anything graphic whatsoever can post here, and senders can check the comments before shipping? I know it's readers choice, but I'd hate for someone who hates foul language getting a book riddled with them? That being said, my partner can send me ANYTHING, I won't be offended, promise!

Angrychickenknits 07/ 6/2011 #

Newbies are allowed, just make sure you send out your book out! :) I think putting a little note it about why it's your favorite book is a great idea!

I say, ship the cheapest way. If it is going to take a long time to get to your partner, just shoot them and email and let them know you shipped it but it may take a week or so.

Angrychickenknits 07/ 6/2011 #

I would say, if you book has explicit language or imagery, send a warning note with it, but also tell your partner what makes it so great so hopefully they will give it a chance!

laurenk 07/ 6/2011 #

How are you supposed to know what sort of books your partner likes? Should you put your book genre preferences on your profile?

Angrychickenknits 07/ 6/2011 #

I don't know if they are going to exactly get a book to go with your likes, the point of this swap is to send your favorite book, and share it with another person.

HistoryNerd 07/ 6/2011 #

Hello, I am excited to send my favorite paperback! I was also going to ask if we can send a little note explaining why it is a favorite and if we can put our favorite quotes down (or just page numbers so as to not spoil~), but I see it has been asked and answered! Can't wait :]

@laurenk i agree with @angrychickenknits the whole point is to send YOUR favorite book, not the partners. Think of it as a way to expand their reading material, and to pass on the knowledge of a book that means a lot to you!

melissahess 07/ 7/2011 #

Can't wait, this will be fun and to repeat other's sentiments, thank you AngryChickenKnits for taking newbies :)

HeidiJean 07/ 7/2011 #

Cant wait to send my letter out!

HeidiJean 07/ 7/2011 #

...and by letter, I mean book... smh... haha
