NOTE: If you've been a regular participant in these swaps, please read these directions, as they are different from the previous set of swap instructions! Since the same ones of us tend to be swapping, I'm trying to figure out a way for us to receive a greater variety of artwork from each other--I've sent to the same partner the last three times, poor thing! So, for this swap you will have TWO partners. To one you will send an exotic animal-themed chunky page, and for the other, you will send a "sender's choice" chunky. (Staying within the "nature" theme, of course). This means you are banned from reading your partner's profile! Do whatever you're little heart desires! (OK, let's say nothing creepy, though--no scary spiders etc.) :) Please label on the back which one you are sending which partner, so they can rate you accordingly. Remember, sender's choice (nature-themed) is just that, so please rate appropriately. Because one of these is sender's choice, you can get started right away, rather than waiting until partners are assigned, so I'm going to keep the mailing time about the same as previous swaps have been. This is number eight in a series of page swaps I will be hosting with a nature-theme. Please keep in mind that for this series I'm thinking more traditional, relatively realistic, or vintage botanical/animal images, rather than "cutesy" or scrapbooky interpretations (although some scrapbook embellishments may be tastefully incorporated). Designing a page in this style is pretty basic. Layer your main image over "found" paper such as a sheet of music, a dictionary page, ledgers, the cover of a farmer's almanac, or vintage-looking scrapbook papers etc. Embellish your page with relatively realistic or vintage images, stamping, numbers/symbols, postage stamps or cancellation marks, text/found poetry etc. And don't forget to include a 3-D component to make your page "chunky." Finally, you should lightly decorate the back side of your page, and include your contact information. If you have any topic suggestions for future themes, let me know! Make two 4X4" pages, one for each partner. |
