Who doesn't love nifty notebooks? It seems everyone I know likes nifty little notebooks, and owns several. Some of us have an interest in making our own nifty note books, and that's what this swap is about. If you love notebooks too, but aren't so keen on making your own, you can still participate by searching out a nifty notebook handmade by someone else. Craft shows, etsy, fair-trade stores, these are all good places to look. If however, you are feeling crafty (and if you're on swap bot odds are you do at least some of the time), roll up your sleeves at get going. Notebooks can be any size, and material, any shape. Get creative. I'm going to suggest at least 15 pages to write on, but otherwise go nuts. Be resourceful and use recycled materials, or go all out and buy some fun stuff to use, whatever floats your boat. Use handmade paper if that's your thing, don't if its not. Include pages with vintage pictures or text on them, or don't. Search google and etsy for ideas - there's heaps of inspiration out there. It would be nice to include a note, perhaps written in the notebook, explaining how the notebook was made/where you got it from/something neat like that, so people can appreciate the notebooks they receive. I'm leaving this regional USA/CAN for now, and not including newbies, though if either of these exclude you please do message me - I'm pretty flexible. If you can convince you should be in the swap, you're in. |
