Description: | |
This is number nine in a series of page swaps I will be hosting with a nature-theme. The theme for this swap, for lack of a better descriptor, is "wild grazing animals"--I'm thinking of mountain goats, wild sheep, gazelle, moose, ibex, buffalo, deer, etc. Please keep in mind that for this series I'm thinking more traditional, relatively realistic, or vintage botanical/animal images, rather than "cutesy" or scrapbooky interpretations (although some scrapbook embellishments may be tastefully incorporated). Designing a page in this style is pretty basic. Layer your main image over "found" paper such as a sheet of music, a dictionary page, ledgers, the cover of a farmer's almanac, or vintage-looking scrapbook papers etc. Embellish your page with relatively realistic or vintage images, stamping, numbers/symbols, postage stamps or cancellation marks, text/found poetry etc. And don't forget to include a 3-D component to make your page "chunky." Finally, you should lightly decorate the back side of your page, and include your contact information. Make 1 4X4" chunky page for 1 partner. Leave the left 1/4" free of chunky embellishments for binding. If you have any topic suggestions for future themes, let me know! |
