Description:

The idea for this swap originated with janeengland This swap is a fun and creative way to share some pieces of your life with someone else . . . and to experience some of theirs.

To begin, you will need a journal of any size but no smaller then 5" x 7" and it must have at least 32 pages in it. On the first page you will tell your partner a bit about yourself, where you live, your interests, etc. Then, date the rest of the pages from August 1st through August 31st. You will then attach an artifix to each page for that day. For the purpose of this journal, an artifix is a keepsake of an event or a piece of ephemera from a day in your life. We’ll be collecting these items each day for a month and sharing them with our assigned partner along with a description of how we came across the item, why it was meaningful to us for that day, etc. So, it could be an appointment card from an appointment you had one day along with a description of what the appointment was for, a menu with a few sentences about what you selected from the menu that day, a receipt for something you purchased on one of the days along with a picture and a description of what you bought, or it could be a bus/train ticket along with a description about where you traveled to. If the writing on the artifix is not in English, you must translate it so it is. You MUST also write a few sentences about how you got the artifix. You are welcome to get as creative as you like in linking descriptions/pictures to the artifix, but please don’t include anything that your partner may find offensive. IMPORTANT: PLEASE USE DIFFERENT ITEMS FOR EACH DAY. THERE SHOULD NOT BE 30 OF THE SAME ITEM!

Participants must have a rating of 4.9 or higher. Anyone with a rating lower than 4.9, a history of any no sends, or anyone with a 1 or 3 in the last 3 months will be banned. Also, if you're new to swap-bot (less than 90 days), please contact me before signing up. You must have at least 15 swaps under your belt before you can participate

Any questions please let me know.

Hi, does the artfix have to relate to that day or can it be from a day already past. eg. for august 1 will the artfix have to relate to aug 1 and then the artfix for august 2 have to relate to aug 2? Or can it relate to any other day. thanks

Sounds like fun, kinda like a glue book I did in another group.

@dustypink it is a daily account.. so there isn't much point in putting in something from last month for today.. because it isn't today! I hope this is right.. :)

@dustypink it should relate from an article from that particular day. However, there are several articles in a typical day from our past that had to do with our day somehow ie I was cleaning out my junkmail today, and found this, or I was cleaning off my craft desk, etc. I bought this bottle of soap a month ago, and was about to throw the wrapper away, but the wrapper was pretty so wanted to include it in this journal........these are examples of how you could incorporate past items HOWEVER your journal should not include several pages of that,it mostly should pertain to things from THAT DAY. Hope that explanation is somewhat helpful =)
