What a great idea! It will be great to have a new friend, stateside or internationally. I hope I am able to swap with a partner close in my age group (mid 50's) - would probably be better for the both of us - although I have recently made new acquaintances/friends through Swap-bot with partners my own children's ages. Hope everyone has fun with this swap! Can't wait to find out who my new partner is! Have fun everyone.

I would also like to have someone close to my age,( mid 50's )also!! Also in the USA!!

I feel age doesn't judge. We can learn both from the young and the more mature. I think this is a great swap!! One can never make new friends or touch someone's life in their own lifetime. : )

You are right "ransom", we can learn from both the young and the more mature. I hope I have touched my partner's in some form or fashion in the few swaps I have participated in these past few weeks since joining Swap-bot. I have put alot of effort into studying their profiles and strived to purchase or make a special item for them. It's truly been alot of fun - at least for me anyway! It appears you have done the same. Good luck with our swap!

You hit it on the nail Laurita !! Reading a profile and feeling good about putting something together in hopes they can connect with. Do I have more in common with a 50 year old, by all means, LOL. But I get a smile from the younger one's who are my future later and bless their huge hearts! :)

what are flakers?

Dramaya 08/ 1/2011 #

@ Alabaster Flakers are people who sign up, but with no intention to complete the swap. You can simply call them cheaters :).

Alabaster - I am sure many of us are glad you asked this question because we want our partners to complete the swaps we sign up for. Many of us work hard to meet the swap requirements and deadlines we have committed to. It's very disappointing when a partner does not come through with their committment, especially after you've worked to keep yours. Swap-bot can be a really fun thing - but you must keep up with your swaps, committments, and deadline dates to submit your items on time. Thanks for asking Alabaster - and welcome!

This is my very first swap - I've sent my letter and can't wait to receive one and make 2 new friends.
